Recording Quaility

What recording quaility should I use? All I do is watch TV after I record it on my MediaMVP. Right now I use medium, but I'm thinking about switching to low or LiveTV.

Try 'em all. Use what you're happy with, and what your disk space permits.

Version 0.23.8 supports variable bitrate and the default medium quality now gives close to the same quality as the prvious version and uses about 30 - 40% less space depending on the show.

My typical recordings are now 1.8 gigs per hour instead of 3 gigs per hour.

I always use low quality. I've never sat and compared recordings, but I can't see a difference between medium and low recordings on a 19" monitor when sat about 1.25 metres away...
