I did some searching, but no luck, could someone please explain what these two Season Record options mean?

Daily vs. Weekly Timeslot

Thanks,

What if the show I watch only airs Monday - Friday but not the weekend? Is there a way I can tell it to record the same time slot every day besides the weekend?

well if its not scheduled in the weekend it wont record, its just means look for this shown in this timeslot (+- 2 hours, this is configurable aswell, but default is 2 hours) for every weekly ie on this day only, or daily no every day. if the show is founded in the epg it just wont record it, but if it is it will record it.

How do I configure that? My assumption have always been that a timeslot was a fixed time interavl (e.g 20:00 - 22:00)...

(I'm not running the latest GB-PVR yet.)

Been wanting to ask about this, but couldn't figure out the right way to ask it. So, this <AllowableTimeslotVariance> is defaulted to 120 minutes. I currently have a problem where a show that I record is only new one day per week, but it's shown like three or four times per week. The one I want to record is at 11:00pm, and the rest of the showings are at like 10:00pm, 1:00am, 4:00pm, etc. With <AllowableTimeslotVariance> set to 120, I tend to pickup a lot of those additional showings.

So should I set <AllowableTimeslotVariance> to 60 or to 0 to make sure that it only records that one 11:00pm timeslot throughout the season?

insulted that you can't remember it from previous signatures.

Setting it to 59 would probably do it (to avoid the one that starts at 10 pm), but then you would miss it if the push it one hour early or late (is it called "push" in both cases? Smile) If you really are only interested in one of them during the week (lets say tuesdays), I would delete the recording from the "reoccuring" menu, and then readd a new reoccuring recording, but this time set it to be "weekly". It will then only record tuesdays.
I'm not always right

Hmmm...that's why I was asking about that variable, because even when I set it to "All in this weekly timeslot, this channel", I still end up getting every additional showing on other days during the 2 or 3-hour timeslot. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and need to go back and look at my options again.

So it would be better to set it to 59? I do watch some shows that are frequently preempted for 10 or 15 minutes, but this particular show is pretty much set in stone...it's just rebroadcast throughout the rest of the week!

Thanks for the info!
Chris
