Usually when people are experiencing audio failure on only a few channels, they are having a fine tuning problem. Try to do a search on the forum for fine tuning, and see if you can find anything that helps...
I'm not always right

I have been able to fine tune the wintv2000 that comes with the hauppage pvr150
i get audio on all channels with wintv2000
then i have tried freqcopy
but still no audio on the gbpvr (for the channels 16-20)
I have tried looking at the reg but i have no idea what i am really looking at
Any help would be appreciated

I have been discussing this common PVR150 occurrance with Hauppauge.

Can you please post the exact Model and Rev of your capture device? Its printed on the tuner label on the board. Can you also tell me which country you have configured you capture source for, and whether you have selected Cable/Antenna?

Hopefully this info will help Hauppauge get to the bottom of it.

I've had this happen 2x, but it wasn't seomthing tuning seemed to fix. One time was more than once, but it was to the same show in the same timeslot. I tested w/ the regular tv, and it was there just fine.

The next time was a different channel/show, but the channel came back fine. Same thing where it wasn't just tech difficulties.

It's real rare, and thankfully, only to shows I didn't really want to watch, so I didn't get a passion to investigate further. Couldn't tell you w/ what the fault lay, short of it was the PVR and not the signal (what the pvr did w/ the signal once it got it aside).

there is a weird thing with mine. I dont have sound on channels 15-20, however, if i watch a channel long enough i will get sound. Some times i wont. And some days (like now) when i turn to channel 15/17 i get sound straight away...this is really ticking me off!

That is basically what happened to me
menu -- config--channel-- suite manager -- then pick the channel
then turn of auto fine tuning then adjust the bar

This is for wintv2000

it has been said that you can freqcopy them over
but i didn't have any luck doing that i have another thread that talks about that

so for right now i am unable to watch channels 16-20 on gbpvr
but they work fine on wintv 2000 after fine tuning

hope this helps
