I tried updating the EPG and it still did not go beyond Monday. I have it setup for 8 days. So I"m not sure what is going on. Has anyone else been experiencing this problem? Is there another thread on this issue? Maybe it is zap2it?

I'll keep an eye on it.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

I'm good through December. I tried forcing an update a few times. No luck. Updated to 9413 from 9408 hoping that would correct the problem. Still no luck. Could a plugin or skin be preventing it from downloading?

Go into the config app and click the 'update epg' button, then post your config.exe.log file

It's most likely because your 3 month subscription needs to be renewed by filling out a survey or if you did a recent update, you need to set the number of days to download at one time in the same spot where you set you Zap2It info in Config.

Sub,

I have checked my zap2it subscription and it is good through December.
Status: Active, Subscription Expires: 2005/12/13, Subscription Plan: Gold

I noticed "9/29/2005 10:31:54 PM.093 ERROR [12] Encountered an error trying to upgrade the existing database: The process cannot access the file "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\gbpvr.mdb.original" because it is being used by another process.
9/29/2005 10:31:54 PM.109 ERROR [12] at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String str)
at System.IO.File.Move(String sourceFileName, String destFileName)

Could this be the problem and if so how do I free it up for the update?
Thanks again!

Sub,
After seeing the error message I posted above I was able to kill some services until the gbpvr.mdb file was free. I then performed the EPG update and all seems to be fine now.

However, after looking at the config.exe.log after that I noticed the following errors. Are these anything to be concerned about? I ask from the stand point that there have always been certain functions w/n GBPVR which I can't seem to get working. As it is right now videoarchive does not work on the computer and I would love to get it working . I have posted the remaining config.exe.log. If you could take a look at it at your convenience and see if there is anything that stands out to you I would appreciate it.

Thanks!

That just means the recording service wasnt running at that time. Since you said you killed a few things, I'd expect to see this.

Sorry, I dont know anything about videoarchive. I've never used it. Try posting in the 'plugins and skins' forum and hopefully the author with be able to help you out.
