I'm Currently useing a streamzap remote and not that I don't like it I would just like to be able to fix a few of the commands on it ie. ff rwd ect.. However I right now would like to go the simpler route and buy a different one 1 and I would like to know what most people are useing and how they like it.

A good resource for you might be www.remotecentral.com.

I just went a cheaper jp1 route with the URC-8910. I like jp1 a lot!! It turns an
ordinary remote into what a remote SHOULD be (configurable).

If I now just could get the button layout off the original codes it would go
a lot faster to configure it...

Is there a programmable/learning remote that also has the color buttons at the bottom?

Where did you get the URC-8910 and JP1 cables? (I am in Sweden as well.)

The JP1 cable can be made very eaisly. If you have lots of old computer stuff around your might have everthing you need already. Check the JP1 site on Yahoo. Its got all the details.
