I selected a show to be recorded using the guide.
The show was recorded perfectly. However, the recording didn't stop after the show it continued on for another 7 hours.

Any ideas?

Had this before. I think its the recording service loses control over your capture card. Was the recording service still running?

Have a look in your GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log to see if there were any errors listed between the expected start and end times for that show.

The logs were only from today not from last nights recording.
I had to reboot this morning.

Yes the recording service was still running - it had tried to record two other shows. I show said ready but had no recording and the third show was stuck on recording until i reboot. When the machine came back up the show was ready but had only 3 secs. of video.
I have since deleted all the videos as well.

I recently have had the exact same problem after having no prior recording problems. The problem first arose when recording two programs on the same channel back-to-back (although, this fact may have just been coincidental, and not causal of the failure). Now anything I record will start to record, but will not stop. If anyone has a fix, I'd be interested in hearing it too.

What's cards and driver versions are you guys using. Until the most recent non-beta release of the 150 drivers, the recording service right as it started would through an error and then not stop recording until you acknowledged the error or the disk filled up. Upgrading to the beta drivers fixed it, and the very latest non-beta drivers (released last week) seem to be working well too, at least for me.

Also, when I had the problem with the earlier drivers, it only occurred when I recorded off the component (or is it composite... I forget which is which) input. Coax recordings never messed up for me. Are your problems related to just one source, or both?

Thanks for the suggestion, wtg... I'm using the PVR-150 with the drivers that came off the setup disk, not the most recent non-beta drivers. Also I'm only using the coaxial input on the card.

I'll try updating them later tonite and post if it helped....

It appears the non-beta drivers fixed the problem. Thanks, wtg!

I just ran into an issue with GB-PVR stuck in recording mode. After recording a 30 minute show, the PVR said that it was still recording. I checked the file and it was up to 42 miutes. Had to reboot to get it to clear. I'm already using Hauppauge's lastest non-beta drivers, so I tried reinstalling them. Recorded eight 30 minute shows last night while I was sleeping with no issues.

But, I did notice that the stuck recording issue happened when I was playing around in the menus, learning all the functionality of the GB-PVR interface. While I was doing this is when GB-PVR started recording the show that got stuck in recording mode. I have not seen the problem yet if I am not messing around in the menu's when GB-PVR starts recording.
