I've been using gbpvr for a couple of weeks. It took me a lilttle while to get everything to work, but it's been fine for the past week until a couple of days ago. Now my EPG generates an error when I try and manually update it.

"Application has generated an exception that could not be handled"

I checked to see if my subscription to zap2it was current and it was. I also disaabled my ZoneAlarm firewall to make sure that wasn't causing the problem, but I still got the error.

My GBPVRTray.exe.log contains the following after a fresh reboot:

10/5/2005 8:19:45 PM.343 VERBOSE [27] installDirectory is C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

If you do it using the 'update epg' button in the config app, what error is put in your config.exe.log file?

I'd had problems entering all of the output from the config.exe.log. It's 27936 characters and only 10000 characters are allowed. So I had to enter it as a zip file.

I didn't get the "Application has generated an exception that could not be handled" doing it this way. Is this a work around?

I have a problem only when I update via the systray icon. I will post the error that windows throughs and if I can find info in one of the logs.

process id=0xa38 (2616), Thread id=0x9a8 (2472)

That's it.. a Common Language RunTime Debugger

The GBPVRtray.exe logs has:

If I run this manually in config.exe it works fine and it seems the 3AM update works fine too.

Correction, the 3AM updates is not working fine. I have moved my update time to something else, in the hopes that perhaps congestion on the zap2it site is too much. We shall see what happens next.
