E4 records with wierd aspect ration - all other channesl fine! Horizontal compression

For some reason, E4 appears horizontally 'squished', with the picture, and then a blank area to the right.
Has anyone else had such a problem? For some reason, when I play the file back in GBPVR, it's fine, but if I try to play it in MS Media Player or PowerDVD, it's wierdly compressed with a random blank section to the right.

I think the problem lies wit E4

In order to squish more programs into the limited bandwith both channel 4 and ITV broadcast with a none standard aspect ratio, which messes up the recordings.

This is a big problem with dedicated recording devices, such as those made by both fusion, and thompson.

You may find 4:3 is fine but 16:9 screen broadcasting is messed up
