Fresh install 94.13 on fresh MCE2005.

Any ideas? I have uninstalled, cleaned it up and reinstalled several times.

Thanks!

Can you zip and attach your log files?

I think the error stems from the following error in your gbpvr.exe-native.log file:

Quote:22:32:31.906 VERBOSE Successfully auto detected tuner filter: FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture
22:32:31.937 VERBOSE ConnectPins: 'MPEG2 Transport' to 'MPEG-2 Stream'
22:32:32.390 VERBOSE ConnectPins failed!
Unfortunately I dont really know why you're getting this, so dont have any instant fix for you.

I'd probably suggest downloading and running GraphEdit.exe (google for it) and checking that the 'FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner' filter has a pin called 'MPEG2 Transport', and that the 'FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture' filter has a pin called 'MPEG-2 Stream'. I suspect one of those names are wrong on your machine. Probably because of a different version of the driver or something similar.

I will have a look. Funny thing, this worked fine on my 2 year old install of XP Pro. Smile

Thanks for the pointers.

Has a solution been found to this problem? I'm also having the exact same error message. I'm using Dvico Fusion 5 Lite ASTC and MCE 2005. I've been trying to get GBPvr to run for over a week now and can't seem to get it working due to the error described above. Please let me know if a solution has been found (or if anyone else is running the same setup with success).

Thanks,
Jorge

My answer from above, is probably the best suggestion:

I'd probably suggest downloading and running GraphEdit.exe (google for it) and checking that the 'FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner' filter has a pin called 'MPEG2 Transport', and that the 'FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture' filter has a pin called 'MPEG-2 Stream'. I did as you asked but am not sure what I'm looking at. Attached is an image from GraphEdit that shows the two filters displayed. Does this mean that I have a bad "Fusion HDTV, BDA Tuner" filter installed since the pin name is "Input0" instead of "MPEG2 Transport"? If this is the case, how do I fix it? I have downloaded the latest drivers from DVico and re-installed and get the same thing. Is there a way to rename the pin name to match? Sorry if these are dumb questions but I'm pretty new to this. I read so many nice things about GBpvr that I would really like to get it working. Thanks for your help....

No, its probably just a change they've made in the drivers.

Yes, edit the bda.ini file, and set the pin name correctly for your card.

I looked at my bda.ini file and found the following entry for my card:

[Fusion HDTV5 Lite]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=FusionHDTV, BDA Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=FusionHDTV, Transport Stream Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

This seems to match what graphedit says the pins are named. What is causing GBpvr to look for something named 'MPEG-2 Stream'?

Attached is a zip of my logs in case that helps...

Thanks,
Jorge
