Hi,
I'm wondering if there's a way that I can change the name of the file that's generated for certain shows.
Where there's a proper season/episode - SnnEnn, everything is great. But when there isn't NPVR seems to use a yyyymmdd_hhmmssff suffix. E.g. I like to record the daily news, and I today I got:
NBC Nightly News_20150812_17301800.ts
Problem is that the TheTVDB scraper that Kodi uses doesn't seem to want to import that into its library. However, if the name could be made:
NBC Nightly News_2015-08-12_17301800.ts
Then everything looks like it works perfectly.
Is this something I can configure? Or would an option/code change be possible?
The last piece is that the "episode" needs to be in TheTVDB with the appropriate aired date - but that I can add.
I'm trying to add these to the library rather than streaming from NPVR because I'm also running comskip, and Kodi doesn't seem to look for the .edl files when streaming - unless you know different?
Did a clean Windows 10 install yesterday, I install NextPVR this morning, and there is no big "N" icon in the bottom-right taskbar. What must I do to make it appear?
I recently installed latest version and think I have done all the necessary configuration. Live TV won't start. I was getting message "can't connect to recording service". The NPVR recording service shows stopped in Task Manager (win7). I can't start it (my login has admin). I see an error in the attached log file. Any help is much appreciated.
Hi all, just reinstall windows 7 and upgraded to latest NextPVR. Thanks
I usually run a manual EPG update every few days but with 3.4.8 it's crashing NextPVR and it won't open again untill I reboot. I've tried emptying the EPG first but no difference. It's adding a lot of data but there are lots of gaps.
Just re-downloaded and re-installed the installer aswell but it hasn't resolved the issue.
Attatched is my complete log, I didn't clear the EPG first for this one but it does crash when clearing first too.
I installed the SAF6 decoders supplied by Hoburg, but now I"m getting what appears to be buffering on several channels in Live TV; could this be caused by a weak signal from the station, or is there something else that could cause this?
1. Is there a way to enter a channel number when the EPG channel guide is displayed and have the guide refocus to the channel entered, as does WMC?
2. Is there a way to have the guide display start listing channels on either on the currently tuned channel or last viewed channel list view rather than start at the beginning of the channel list every time?
I was successfully using nextpvr backend on my windows media pc. I foolishly decided to upgrade the software on my front end - a raspberry pi 2 running a debian-based osmc distro. Kodi got updated also. When I brought it up again, it said it had TV configured with no PVR client plugins configured. So I went back in and reselected nextpvr client plugin. I went through configuration and enabled the plugin. Regardless, I still couldn't get it to work. When I went back into the nextpvr plugin configuration screen, it showed the host field was blank. No matter how I set it - host name or ip address - when I leave the configuration screen and return to it, it's forgotten the host I set.
New Setup worked fine for a few hours with the channels showing up. (hadn't yet tried to acquire guide data). Later when hitting "Live TV" the warning popped up that I didn't have a temp folder on C drive for "KODI live tv buffer". So I created one on C drive, then hit Live tv and got the black screen with no audio. Then I put one on my desktop titled "KODI live tv buffer" and set the target for it. The result is the same. I know the channels are there and a right click tells me which channel is selected. BTW: UI mode is set for PVR, not TV Viewer.
I have been using Windows 7 Media Center. After upgrading to Windows 10, I am trying to set up Kodi with NextPVR to replace WMC.
PC (this worked fine in Windows 7 with WMC)
8 core AMD CPU
16 GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 6300M Series
Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1800 ATSC
I managed to install NextPVR and it recognized my Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1800 ATSC. Scan got all the channels.
However, live TV give blank screen. I went to Settings -> Decoders.
Set Video Renderer to VMR9. This was used in MPC-HC and it worked well.
Video Decoders:
MPEG2 Video Disabled and there is no other options
H.264 Video: Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder and there is no other options
HEVC Video: Disabled and there is no other options
Audio Decoders:
MPEG1 Audio: Microsoft DTV-DVD Video Decoder and there is one option MPEG Audio Decoder
All other 4 types are disabled without any options
Checked for Only use mapped audio decoders during .ts playback
I tried to open file to play. Only AVI files. Other format, mp4, mts, mkv do not work. These video plays fine in MPC-HC on this PC (probably with hardware decoder).
What is the proper way to get decoder working on Windows 10?
