A minor suggestion, but it would be nice to show the numbers that have been pressed when trying to jump channels on the TV Guide ... and then hide them again once enter is pressed.
Just a minor thing, but perhaps the word Cancel could be changed to Stop (to stop an ongoing recording)? Similar to the thread below, I was worried initially that Cancel would delete the recording (and not just halt it). http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...+recording
TV Listings is very helpful, much better than the default guide, and I've been using it successfully for a couple of years now. But today it stopped working. I had to replace my EPG (was using mc2xml, which is no longer supported), which required me to delete all my recording devices in npvr and set them up again (at least I could not figure out how to get the new epg to work without doing all this).
Now, the default TV Guide works fine with the new EPG (I'm now using zap2xml). But TV Listings refuses to open when I click on it. It still appears in the main NPVR menu, but when I click it, nothing happens. When this has happened to me in the past, I removed TV Listings from the Npvr plugins list, added it back, restarted Npvr, and TV Listings would work again. But this time, that does not help. I also upgraded to the most recent version of TV Listings, but it still does nothing. I am on v3.3.8 of Npvr.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you,
I'm hoping I will be able to use NPVR since my WMC EPG can't get Rovi data and Zap2it has no data anymore-
My Computer has a dual analog TV tuner card and in the Filtercheck log they both have the same name. I'm unsure how to input them or if they will even work-- Can you please send me something that I can copy/paste into my xml file that will get me started?
Thank you very much for your Help!!

I'm finally about to buy the Colossus 2 to use with my DirecTV receiver. My question is do I set up the IR blaster through nextPVR or do I need a third-party software for that? Also I assume my over the air tuners will integrate with the Colossus 2 and be separate in nextPVR? I'm almost positive I have a USB-UIRT laying around somewhere but I thought I would get an extension cord for the IR blaster that plugs into the Colossus 2.
I have decided to upgrade from WIN 7 x86 to Win 8.1 x64. I am testing this on a separate drive (clean install) and have gone through hell for the past 2 weeks getting the drivers to work. But now Iâm past all that and have started to load NPVR 3.4.8. My system has two 2250âs and one 1600 with a total of 5 digital and 5 analog tuners. This works fine on Win7 x86 in the same box. The problem is that not all devices are present with the new O/S.
What I found is that on the very first device scan all tuners are present, but when I return to the device screen, two analog tuners are not and remain missing thereafter.
The NPVR database shows them all, but I noticed that the 2250 IDâs are duplicated. Even so, the QAM sections work fine. Only the analog tuners fail. I tried reloading and giving them unique IDâs but the same thing occurs.
I know that others have been running NPVR with Win 8.1 so I must be missing something. I would appreciate any help on this.
I am attaching screen caps of my settings and the database files for the first and second device scan.
So I upgraded to windows 10 two days ago(upgrade from 8.1). NPVR worked great with 3.4.8 for the first few days. I noticed today that the "system" update epg wouldn't recognize the tuners to update. Every attempt after that to enter the "system" page it gave me an exception error. Having experienced a few other programs that didn't transition well, I decided best to uninstall npvr, clean all old files and reinstall a fresh version of npvr. All went fine until I went into the newly installed NPVR and it will not recognize my HDHR homerun dual (ATSC). I have verified that this is working with the hdhr setup and config page and can watch live tv with it.
I have checked the fire wall settings and believe those to be correct. Attached are my logs hopefully they reveal whatever issue it might be...
I've just made a long overdue switch from Windows Media Center to NextPVR and am very impressed so far.
I have a card with two DVB-T tuners and two DVB-S tuners on it so whenever I set up a system like this I have to spend a great deal of time merging channels across the two types of tuner and renumbering them to fit a listing I came up with for Media Center a while ago to handle Freeview and Freesat channels in one consistently grouped line-up.
While I can see you can export and import channels from individual tuners/devices, which is great for saving on rescanning, I can't see a way to export my full merged channel line-up with all its custom numbers and merged sets of four-tuner sources. Is this possible? It would be brilliant if, when I finally finish setting this up (3hrs spent so far...) I knew I'd never have to do the whole thing again if I had any computer problems!
I'm looking for a Media Center (DVR) replacement and NextPVR sounds very good.
I came across a problem: I'm unable to play recorded (or time-shifted live) at 1.4 pitch-corrected speed. The FF setting allows to Fast Play but the video is played too quickly and without sound.
Is it possible to reproduce Media Center [>>] button behaviour?
If deleting several recordings in a row, its a lot of repetitive menu clicking and a pita! Is there no keyboard shortcut I can dedicate on my control?
Thx.
