Hi again!
I have NPVR installed on several notebooks, which I use with an old Terratec Cinergy Hybrid T USB XS TV tuner.
What I wanted to do was to scan for all the available channels, order them and export the list to import it in my other computers.
So, after scanning, I went to Settings -> Channels, ordered the channels moving them with + and -, then, I went to Devices -> Export Channels and got a xml file.
But, when I tried to import the list to another notebook (btw, I had already made a scan also there), the channels were not ordered the same way I ordered them.
Moreover, I tried to delete some channels in the "destination" computer and, when I imported the list, the channels in Settings -> Channels were the same, while in Devices the list was the one I imported.
So, perhaps I'm missing something, but I can't understand how things works and why the list in Channels doesn't match the list I imported in Devices.
I was just wondering if there is an event or hook that allows dynamically changing either the recording filename or file path immediately before the recording actually starts?
I would like to automatically split the recordings into 2 separate directories based on the EGP genre: one directory for movies and another for tv shows.
I'd like this to happen before the recording starts rather than after it is finished so that the file doesn't have to wait to be renamed an hour later when the show is completed.
I might experiment with the idea of a SQLite DB trigger but wondered if there was better support available via the plugin framework.
Next PVR 3.3.8 --Win 7--Firewall Disabled
HD Homerun Prime 3 tuner box
Win 7 laptop-running kodi helix
Linux Laptop-running kodi helix
2- Android Tablets running kodi Helix
1- Raspberry Pi running Openelec 5.0 - kodi Helix
I have the tuners working fine with NexPVR. I am watching Live TV and recording with no errors. On my win 7 and Linux laptops running Kodi, everything is wrking fine. With the two android tablets, everything is working fine. My issue is when trying to play live TV from the Raspberry Pi, I get Nextpvr Pvrclient no tuner available and sometimes there is a buffering at 0 percent at the top. I have the mpeg 2 license and it will play whatever I have recorded just fine, just not live TV using the NextPVR addon. I also configured the PI to watch live TV from the tuners themselves and the PI played live TV from the tuners themselves just fine. Just trying to figure out why Live TV will not work through the Next PVR addon.
Hi to all!
I've just upgraded to NPVR 3.3.8 from 3.2.9 and now I get this warning.
I searched and found others had this problem, but I couldn't find a solution.
The odd thing is that uninstalled 3.3.8, re-installed 3.2.9 and in "About" it still says I have 3.3.8!
Then, if I click ok and re-open the settings, the warning is gone.
My system is Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, but I also have the same problem on another computer with Windows XP.
I attach a log.
Based on what I've been reading eg http://missingremote.com/news/2015-01-13...-users-rej if you are using CableCard devices there is new firmware to allow a few more channels that previously have been blocked as Copy Once.
I noticed in the latest version of NPVR that episode number is no longer present in the event_detail column in the scheduled_recording table. Was this change intentional? I believe the episode number was present in the previous version although it was rarely accurate (not NPVR's fault though). Anyways, I was just curious, thanks.
Here's an example from the scheduled_recording table:

I use the built in DVD player and I have it set to the LAV decoded but when I play DVDs they come out as PCM stereo and not Dolby 5.1 (when they support it of course). Is this right or do I have some fiddling to do?
hello all,
does anyone know if there's a way to tell npvr to just update the epg listings for channels set as TVXML... sometimes I need to update just those channels I've set to import from a local file, and the only option I can find updates the whole list, using a tuner to rescan the OTA stuff too.... it can be a command line call if there's not a GUI way of doing it?
When opening NPVR I get the black screen, right click brings up content menu & all functions there work perfectly. Reading through the keyboard preferences I'm unable to bring up the What's New screen or any other features available when I first downloaded the program---less than 6 weeks ago.
