i had a working GBPVR Server some years ago,
now i got new hardware and have npvr,
my problem is, is there anybody with a good working .bat / .ini for comskip?
For Germany?
Hi,
Seriously, since moving to cablecard, I have had absolutely zero problems (no more clear qam channel remapping). I've even stopped visiting these forums daily... yawn. What a super application!
Let's say you are watching Live TV on a client. You go back to the guide and find a new channel to watch. You have a choice menu of "Close, Quick Record, Record, Find All and Watch". Let's say you choose "Watch". At that point the client sends instructions to the server to tune to the new channel. Note: BTW, the same command gets sent if you right click -> channels -> and choose a channel from the pop-up window.
Does anybody know the command/syntax that gets sent from the client to the server to change the channel?
The reason why?
I would like to change channels on the server via a program other than using NPVR on the client. As you can see, this is the remote on my client. Each channel has its own little icon. I can place any command to anywhere under those buttons. I would like to place the NPVR command under each button.
Also, besides channel changes, I would also like to send commands "Toggle Previous Channel (ie, GoBack)" and "Channel Up (ie double arrow up)" and "Channel Down (ie double arrow down)" if possible.
It seems that if there any any significant "blips" in the signal (ATSC) that XBMC just stops playback and seems to "freeze" requiring me to stop playback. This makes Live TV pretty much unwatchable if the signal is not perfect because it keeps freezing up. On recordings I have to restart playback and then jump past the problem area. Has anyone else noticed this?
Given how long I've been using GB/NPVR, I think this qualifies as a dumb user question - but I've just discovered that (according to the wiki), TV Recordings has an archive feature. I'd like to use this to automatically move finished recordings to the NAS, and so update the database.
I can't find this option anywhere so I would appreciate a steer. Thanks.
In particular, could you look for the recurring recordings that have the titles "CH8_1900_SHOW_HD" (recording from 1900 to 2200) and "CH8_2100_SHOW_HD" (recording from 2058 to 2200)?
Could you check the reason why they are not able to be recorded?
Cos I have 3 tuners available, and they are fully occupied, but one of the frequencies that 1 of the tuners is recording, is the one that the above 2 recordings are using, so by right they should be able to be scheduled. But when I ran "NextPVR -recurring", the pending recordings are not generated.
Following a recent rescan, BBC ONE has become BBC ONE W Mid invalidating all my recurring recordings. Can I just rename it in the Channel table to resume normal working?
I am doing a full test to see if I can go to NEXTPVR full time ... one problem I have found that can be easily duplicated is ....
1 I am watching live-TV om my NEXTPVR server box.
2. I fire up my laptop Client.
3. I go to the guide schedule a Series all Episodes..... locks up says DB locked on the client after a few seconds.
4. LiveTV I am watching on the Server Interrupted and guits.
I am on windows 8 have 5 tuners... 1 Prime (3 Tuners) 1 Hd Homerun ASTC (2 Tuners) use reverse priority for LIVETV.
Back in the old days (gbpvr) we used to transcode from dvr-ms to mpg from an menu in the video library.
Just wondering if this still exists in npvr? Although I suppose I am now looking to go from .ts to mpg.
1) I am adding season and episode data to the subtitle of scheduled_recording. ie. "S08E03 Sheldon and Leonard jump a shark."
---The utility runs in the PostEPGUpdate batch file.
---Does NPVR care if the subtitle changes like that or if it doesn't match what is in epg_event?
2) I want to scan the epg_event table every day and look for series premiers (S01E01) in prime time and automatically add a recurring recording rule for it.
--- If I just add a record to recurring_recording, will NPVR honor that entry? Choke on it?
Once I get this up and running the WAF will be high enough to go live and let SageTV go dark.
