I've been having spdif audio sync issues and even playback issues with my Colossus.
I've got an I7 with at least 8 GB of RAM, using LAV decoders and on some channels and worse on a particular program where the audio is almost always out of sync. I'm on rogers using a SA4642 digital box recording in 1080i. I've tried watching the channel, but different show and it doesn't seem to have any audio sync issues at that time.
I've tried different decoders but still no luck.
I've since switched to analog audio and it hasn't had a problem for a few days.
I remember someone talking about the audio changing between different channels. I was wondering if that had anything to do with it.
Has anyone else had this problem and solved it? Are most people on Rogers in Canada using analog or digital audio?
In Ready Recordings, whenever I ESC back from browsing a recording, it always resumes focus on the first show in my list of recordings rather than the show that I had highlighted before pressing enter. So if I have scrolled down to Jools Holland, pressed enter to view the shows, when I press ESC, it is highlighting Aardvarks - A natural history. (to illustrate my point).
I have placed the following bat file under scripts in the data directory (windows 7).
PostProcessing.bat:
cd\
cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Cypheros\TSDoctor\
tsdoctor.exe "d:\video\*.ts" AUTOFIX "d:\temp\"
del d:\video\*.*
rem /Q
What I would like it to do is run the program and use the TSDoctor AUTOFIX metod to correct recordings for commercial removal and or errors then move it to a second location. Second all data in the recording directory is to be deleted.
But it ain´t working it has been tested from cmd promt and there it worked.
I just installed NextPVR and your nDroid program. Initially, the service failed to install. I traced this initially to the batch file test on line 4 of the InstallService.bat :
Code:
sc query state= all | find /I "nDroid Service"
It seems That this test matches
Code:
c:\Program Files (x86)\Beetec Services\nDroid Service>sc query state= all | find /I "nDroid"
SERVICE_NAME: BstHdAndroidSvc
DISPLAY_NAME: BlueStacks Android Service
in my system. So I changed Line 4 to Read
Code:
sc query state= all | find "nDroid Service"
this changed made the test for the "nDroid Serivce" case sensitive , bypassing the false positive hits against the two BlueStacks Android services this permitted the test to process correctly and the service installed properly.
It's based on the fairly new âWeb-apiâ and provide a native NextPVR UI, much like the NMT.
Plugins in general are supported but not guaranteed to work.
The app is available for LG Smart TVs (2012/2013/2014?) and newer Samsung TV/BDs with Smart Hub (D-models not supported, sorry).
In the future I hope to make the app available (for free) in LG and Samsung stores but currently it has to be installed using a process designed for developers to test their apps on real hardware.
Sadly LG-BDs does not support this option (yet?) so currently the LG-version is only available for TVs.
Samsung E/F and probably G-models TVs and BDs should work. D-models will install the app but won't work.
If your device is a Samsung you should be able to do the installation using the instructions found in the linked zip. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9995...amsung.zip
If you are familiar with âlogin as developâ and know what you're doing here's the IP 76.76.102.42, but I advice everybody to download the zip and read the instructions.
Everybody is free to try it with no obligations. At this stage the app is fairly usable but has some flaws and also some features are missing.
Supported functions:
Navigating the full NextPVR UI including your installed plugins.
Recorded TV - play, pause, seek
Live TV - play, pause, now and next mini guide
Videos - play, pause, seek
Music - play, pause, seek
Resume on play
Comskip
Improvements I hope to implement:
Subtitles
Known issues:
No seeking in Live TV
Known Samsung F-models specific issues related to seeking:
Resume not very reliable.
The first seek is usually off
Player will sometimes completely ignore a seek.
The player sometimes freezes after a seek.
Feedback is welcome but please don't expect all bugs being fixed in an instant. Even if it's fun, work, toddlers and house demand their attention too.
Is there a way of getting in to the IP Camera streams?
Would like to record a camera thats IP enabled, i am hoping to not need any hardware as the image stream is already in the IP layer, however i have no idea what to add to NPVR to have this as a "channel", any ideas?
I have noticed a problem with some recordings and not others that is related to metadata. In the X-NEWA emulation of the NextPVR screen when you click on a recording you get the option pop-up with Close, Play, Delete etc. This works fine for most recordings but I have one in which when you press down-arrow to move from Close to Play it unhighlights Close but then won't highlight any other option. You can still press Esc to leave the screen though.
However, if I deselect "Enable downloading of metadata and artwork" in NextPVR->Settings->Misc2, it works OK.
I suspect the particular artwork here is tripping something up. The thetvdb URL was "http://thetvdb.com/api/3DC9CDF8E41D4737/series/280354/en.xml". Perhaps the asterisks in the Overview field are to blame? <Overview>*Duplicate* See 'The Trip' Season 2.</Overview>

GetMetadata loop is repeated many times without any further keypresses being made.
For some time I've been having a problem where partway through the OTA EPG update something in the NVPVR software hangs. Whilst existing scheduled recordings still record and you can still playback existing stuff, the EPG doesn't get updated again until the recording service has been re-started. You may also notice other odd behaviour such as can't delete watched recordings or new recurring recordings don't get scheduled. This is all triggered after the EPG update has aborted part way through.
This doesn't happen every night and when it does there are absolutely NO error messages in any of the NPVR logs. The only thing you see is the EPG update stops partway through a channel scan (and not the same channel each time either). Everything can run fine for a week or more then suddenly one night the EPG update will hang. My EPG update would run for a long time because of the number of FreeSat channels being scanned and I was hoping that the update to 3.2.9 with the fixed FreeSat (UK) option would improve EPG stability....unfortunately not.
Having updated to 3.2.9, added the patches and set all the FreeSat channels to the new FreeSat (UK) option, I cleared the EPG, re-started the recording service and started NPVR. Go to the system menu and trigger an EPG update. The channels get scanned, but partway through the scan I now get "NPVR has stopped working" "Windows will close the programme"
Again there are no errors in the NPVR logs but there are errors in the Windows Application logs.
I am loving this release, as there are some things that have really improved the ease of use by the family. Love the new pop-up on the live tv page which only shows available channels on the "all channels" page! I have a few questions about some things happening, and wanted to know if they are on purpose, only with me, or maybe bugs.
1) Filter in recordings:
a) It seems that I only can filter in the Ready Recordings page, and not the What's New page.
b) If a recording goes directly to a Filter Folder through the Directory in the update recording page (say "Kids" instead of the main Folder), it's not showing up in the Filter. Only recordings that I have moved through Files or Archive show up here. Not sure if I need to set an auto archive if I want them to be directly accessed through the Filter during or immediately after recording.
c) Example layout: 2 drives. Drive 1 contains Series, shows that I have multiple seasons recording to catch up on later (Stargate Atlantis and Big Bang Theory for example). Drive 2 contains the main recording directory, with sub-directories of "wife" and "kids". If I select "Series", "wife" or "kids", everything works fine. I was hoping that by selecting the Drive 2 folder, the sub-directories would also show up. This doesn't occur. I just want to filter out those shows that record multiple episodes a day of clogging things up!
2) Conflicts:
a) I LOVE the fact that if an episode isn't recorded at it's first time due to a conflict, it is scheduled for the first available slot. So in this case, if I have a conflict that I don't care to resolve by cancelling something else, it remains in "Conflicts" and can't be deleted without going into the database. Is that right? Should I be resolving these by selecting Cancel on the Resolve page? I remember cancelling individual instances of a series days in advance, but they would come back with the next epg update, and assumed that happened in conflicts too.
b) Any way that when you hit "resolve", if this show is scheduled to record in the future, it can be noted on that pop-up? Currently I have to see what options I have on resolve, then go into find all recordings for all options, and decide from there if I can get all shows.
I have four SiliconDust tuners (two HDHomeRun DUAL tuners) which have all had their firmware updated to the latest version.
If I use the HDHomeRun QuickTV app, all four tuners are working fine and I can view all the same digital channels I can see directly on my TV.
(I have an antenna, not cable.)
NextPVR recognizes the devices but cannot find ANY channels when I scan for them.
I have tried selecting both ATSC and QAM, but neither can find any channels from within NextPVR.
Can anyone provide any details?
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!
