My wife is really enjoying the NPVR plugin for XBMC. Is it possible in the Recordings submenu to show more information about a recording when it is highlighted (Season, Episode, Original Air Date)? She would also like to order the recordings by airdate rather than recording date.
I couldn't find anything in the Settings. I am using the Confluence skin. Would using another skin like Aeon Nox give more info/options or is it dependent on the NPVR plugin to provide the info?
I absolutely love the way that Movies now have metadata in Videos, but we use Recordings almost exclusively.
I would love to see metadata in Recordings as well. Any chance of that please?
I first had a hauppauge 350 (with GBPVR) which had very nice analog signal.
I now have a 1600, using it with analog. the output was always just OK, not as good as 350, and now it appears the analog tuner is losing it- quality is always horrible.
I have hooked up ATSC QAM via the huge antenna in the attic ; ) and the quality for most channels it gets is good, but winTV and not surprising thus NPVR are pretty horrible at succeeding when changing channels (from one channel with great ATSC signal to another with great ATSC signal).
I would like to end up with 2 analog tuners plus one tuner for ATSC QAM.
What manufacturer would folks recommend I look at for these tuners? I am not against trying Hauppauge again but from my experience and what I read, they may not be what they once were.
I am using an Inteset MCE real RC6 remote control with my NUC/OpenElec kit which works really well. Compared with using a keyboard, I missed the ability to skip forward and backward by a day in the TV listings, and since the SkipNext and SkipPrevious buttons are not being used I added a quick hack to emulate.py at the end of the if..else key and button tests in OnAction:
elif buttonID == 223:
url = keyBase + str(39|0x20000)
elif buttonID == 221:
url = keyBase + str(37|0x20000)
which works nicely. I realise it should be using some proper defines for the button codes but am not sure where to find them.
I like how npvr shows fanart in grid mode for videos in the newest version where if there is only one video file, it has a "play" and "back" button select the folder. I found though that for a video_ts DVD that it reverts back to the old way of doing it and doesn't show the "play" and "back" buttons but instead shows another folder structure.
Is there a way for npvr to see that it's a DVD and show the "play" and "back" button as well?
When I click "Live TV" I receive the following error: "The tuner you were using was required for a recording. Would you like to switch to watching a recording, or exit back to the menu?"
No recording was active. My Live TV Buffer is set to C:\Temp. Scheduled recordings appear to record properly. After discovering the problem I upgraded to 3.2.9 but the problem persists.
I use Windows Vista Home Premium and a Hdhomerun Dual ATSC tuner. I am receiving my TV signal OTA.
I have just installed Nextpvr. It installs fine at it sees my digital devices cards, but then I try to scan for channels I get the error 'faild to start device'
I am normally using Argus TV, and here it have worked for years without problems. I have stopped the argus services and restarted server.
I am testing NextPVR because of media browser 3, there you have a nextpvr plugin.
I've just realised that Easter has passed us by - this is significant because it normally marks my annual donation to Sub for this wonderful software.
I'm posting just in case it reminds anyone else that Sub deserves a reward for the hard work he puts into this...and more importantly to keep him interested.
