I realize this is not a NPVR problem but I'm wondering if any other users are playing flac files through NPVR? I'm using the unlocked SAF6 codec and I can hear the flac files but their volume level is extremely low, so I have to really crank up the receiver I use for audio. I can do that easily enough but I'm just wondering if there is a way to balance the volume level of flac files a little closer to that of other files. My receiver volume level doesn't show on my TV so it's a guessing game to get close to the various levels. I've done enough Googling on the subject to know others have this problem, I just haven't run across a solution.
I upgraded my server to 3.2.9 about a week ago. All seemed to be well until yesterday, when we noticed some expected recordings hadn't happened. On checking, all of the recurring recordings had vanished, as had any pending ones. I restarted the server and re entered the most important WAF ones. All then seemed ok until tonight when I noticed they have all vanished again. Previous recordings are all present and correct and I can schedule a new one and it seems fine at the moment.
Any one got any suggestions of how I can recover my previous list of scheduled recurring recordings and perhaps more importantly what I should look for to work out why they have vanished.
There are errors in the attached logs that are plainly connected, hopefully someone wiser than me can throw some suggestions my way. Also the server has created a sequence of recording-backup.xml files. Can I just reimport those?
When playing my music albums (all classical) I notice the various movements are played out of order, which is a problem for us purists . I see there is a Shuffle header at the top but that doesn't seem to do anything for me. Is there a way to stop NPVR from playing selections out of order? FYI, I set up my music folder using Media Monkey and all music is in the flac format. I notice there is a plugin for Media Monkey. Would this solve the problem. I don't currently have MM installed on the client computer but I could do so if that would help. When I select the playlist option at the top of the NPVR screen I can see the playlist order but I can't get it to list in the proper order. Obviously I could make all selections manually but it would be nice if the music played in its proper order once the original selection was made.
I don't know if anyone out there is still using analog stuff, but I thought I would offer up my old MediaMVP's just in case someone could put them to good use. Just pay shipping. Power supplies and remotes included.
In my no doubt annoying attempts to fine tune NPVR I'm now running into a problem with the art work on the downloaded videos in the video section. Since the latest NPVR update I've been able to select Metadata in the Video section after selecting a folder and I get the metadata, consisting of a poster and synopsis. Now, in three different instances I'm getting a banner instead of a poster and I can't figure out how to get back to the poster. I've deleted the thumbs folder but that doesn't seem to accomplish anything. When I start NPVR up again, the same banner is there instead of the poster that once was there. What else do I need to do to get the metadata to display properly?
I find there is no "red line" indicating a current recording in the TV guide. Either at the top or in a show box.
(1) If I go into the guide and it is currently recording something - I don't know and may well start to record it - this works and the box turns red, but moving around loses the red indication again. An extra recording is shown on the server status page.
(2) there is no option to watch an in progress recording just a new start. (see screen shot of PC client and server differences).
All works as expected on NMT and Samsung app clients.
client/server logs available on request later when server available for clean up first.
Hi, I was wondering what the expected behavior is for NextPVR when two consecutive shows are scheduled one after another, on the same channel. Let's say we are going with the default padding, start 1 min early and end 2 minutes late. Should the two shows begin and end on time where they overlap, or should two different shows both be recorded simultaneously for about a couple minutes?
I am using NPVR vesion 3.2.9 on my machine and am having trouble with resuming playback/skipping forward for a recorded tv show.
The issue:
I can't skip ahead more than 1 minute into the show without it freezing and giving me a black screen. I am also having trouble resuming a recording from the previous location(get a black screen as well)
Logs: look in the NPVR log at 17:21 on 4/25 (end of Log) as that is the area in which it is recorded as an event. I tried playing the bad teacher episode and encountered both issues during playback.
System: windows 8.1 running on an AMD a4-5300. Media is located on a usb 3.0 HDD.
Thanks for any help you might be able to provide!!
This is dooable thru AcamD and newCS apparently. There's a thread on here somewhere but it doesn't say how...
I'd like to get my sky subscription into mediabrowser then i could watch it on rokus in every room (free multiroom!)
Any how - to's anywhere cos i don't know where to start!!!
