I just updated to the latest version. I like the new meta data for the recordings. It is nice to see the actual cover image for a show and a synopsis about the episode as you scroll past it. However, I only seem to be able to see a list of recorded titles for a show in its directory, and nothing else about the recordings. I used to be able to see the the name of the show and the date it was recorded. I can see the date of the last recording for a given show on the folder for that show, but no such data for each recorded instance of a show within that folder. Is there a setting that I am missing for this?

I decided to switch to NextPVR, but after I scanned channels for my QAM tuner and my ATSC tuner I found that I was missing about 20 channels. I tried disabling the firewall before scanning, but still missing channels. :confused:

My TV tuner is a WinTV-950q.
I'm using NPVR v3.2.9
TV is from a digital source.

Just wondering if these have changed? Previously I could use a number of Ctrl keys for shortcutting certain things for example Ctrl-B was the Info button. Now this does not seem to work, which is kinda frustrating as I use LMRemote to program my remote and it can no longer control a number of things.

Is this an issue with my box? Or is this functionality that may have recently changed?

Can I re-introduce any of this into KeyMappings.XML?

Getting an "unhandled exception" error (instead of the "conflict" screen) when trying to schedule a recording when a tuner is unavailable.
(actually, I found if I "continue" thru the error I do get the conflict screen)

error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

If I use the standard TV Guide I don't see the problem.

I really just noticed this problem and would like a clarification.

If I have more recurring recordings scheduled for a specific time than I have tuners available, the extra recordings are simply ignored with no conflict notification. Even though some of the shows run at a later time, they are still lost.

Is that the way it works?

How many days of "pending recording" does "NextPVR -recurring" generate?

I wish to know how often should I run "NextPVR -recurring".

A long time SageTV user who is having lots of timeline issues with SageTV and HDPVR 2. One of 3 recordings ends up with timelines that skip 2-3 seconds for every real second.

I need to switch to something else now that Jeffery @ SageTV left us high and dry.

Does NextPVR support extenders? I have SageTV HD200 and HD300 and need something like them on 3 rooms. I know I will have to buy new hardware so I am looking for the best PVR who old SageTV users are jumping to.

Any help and guidance much appreciated.

At my wits end so any help much appreciated!

Got the latest version of NVPR, usb tv tuner is working fine etc. But when I scan the local transmitter (Nottingham) and the whole of the UK, I only get a handful of channels with poor reception. Having spent an age trying to resolve this, I gave Windows Media Centre a shot...

... and it picked up every channel PERFECTLY. Any ideas why, and how I get them in NPVR (which I wan to use with XBMC, hence I can't settle for WMC).

I just installed NextPVR on a Dell Venue 8 Pro, win 8.1.
In trying to set it up, there are no options for the various decoders.
H 264 video is set on MS DTV-DTD Video, and MPEG1 Audio is set on MS DTV-DVD Audio.
The H 264 has no option other than disable, but the MPEG1 has an option of MPEG Audio or disable.
All others are disabled, and there are no other options available.
I am using an HDHomerun Prime tuner.
I am sure it is tied in with this, but I have not been able to get any data into the Guide -- the channel scan went fine.

I am having no luck getting XMLTV episode data to populate into the npvr.db3 epg_event table season and episode columns from epgcollector
I'm running NPVR version 3.2.9 and there are no EPG guide import errors noted in the logs

I am using EPG Collector 4.1 FP21 to download the NZ Freeview DVB-T EPG data into an XML file with program season and episode data by selecting the "format of episode tag" set to "Valid season and episode numbers only".
EPG Collector is now able to collect the “Series and Episode Number” data from the NZ guide for some programs; to do Series recordings, to avoid duplicate recordings and so I can watch recordings in the right order.

I dont think epgcollector/NZ use exactly the same tag data format as other ones, Steve follows the xmltv_ns tag spec per http://xmltv.cvs.sourceforge.net/xmltv/x...iew=markup line 354
The problem could be the extra space characters inside the 0 . 14 . 0/1 tag perhaps

Below is typical episode number data with the first part being the “episode” and the second part being the “series or season” and the third part being the “part number eg 0/1" and these numbers are indexed from zero
