Australian TV channels are notorious for not sticking to the EPG recording times. As a result, I have a post padding of 15 mins.
This is in my Config.xml
Code:
<PostPadding>15</PostPadding>
Sometimes, however, I find in my recurring-backup.xml a series recording with a post padding of 2.
It is NOT being set manually, and I can't work out whether it changes sometime, or is initially added this way.
It is not frequent, but is annoying, as it is usually detected when a show finishes unexpectedly on playback.
Any ideas?
Hi, Finally made the move to upgrade my MVP boxes to a PCH-A110. When I'm installing it isn't firing up! Followed all the install instructions! Below is the NMT Syntax Checker log:

(as a preface, I have N-PVR as well as XBMC set up on the same windows 7 computer N-PVR is 3.1.1, XBMC is the latest Gotham build, though Frodo release was doing the same thing. I am trying to get the PVR plugin in XBMC to work)
I have spent the last few days trying to figure this out, and have done a lot of searching. I found a lot of problems from 2012, but absolutely nothing from recently. I have installed N-PVR, and I have it working properly. I am able to access the web interface from the computer that N-PVR as well as XBMC are installed on, as well as from the other computers on the network. I have tried every combo of starting and stopping plugins and services, I have tried leaving the pin at 0000, as well as changing it. I have tried changing the port (8867), and everything else I can think of. It is acting like the pin is wrong. It says so in XBMC as well as in the logs:
Code:
22:33:23 T:5312 DEBUG: AddOnLog: NextPVR PVR Client: session.login failed
22:33:23 T:5312 DEBUG: CAddonCallbacksAddon - ADDON::CAddonCallbacksAddon::QueueNotification - NextPVR PVR Client - Error Message : 'Connection failed. Incorrect PIN?'

I have tried everything I can think of and am turning to you guys for advice. Anyone have experiance with this recently?
Here are my logs:
Thank you!
I have a Colossus and a USB HDPVR...how do I go about getting three tuners? Is there a USB HDPVR dual capture? Is there a PCIE/PCI dual capture card that I can use in a win 7 64 bit environement?
I only have the option of STB blasting and recording.
NextPVR may be invoked with any of the following command line options:

-updatedb
Ensure all the database changes have been applied.
-import c:\example.xml
Imports recordings from the given file.
-export

If I just want to clear the pending recordings without removing the manual recurring recordings schedule and TV channel tunings, should I still run "-emptydb", or another option?
If I wish to delete all manual recurring recordings only, should I run "-removehistory"?
In my part of Canada, analog has gone away, so no more dual tuner Tivo, and I'm getting my wife to use npvr more. I have Hauppauge HD Tuner boxes (1 Colossus & 1 HD PVR) and 2 Hauppauge 950q devices for ClearQam (mostly SD unless there's a free preview). Order is 1) Colossus (fixed on CTV), 2) HD PVR, 3&4) 950q. There's an option when you choose to "Record" under "Recording Type" called Record All Episodes, All Channels. I want to set certain shows to record to any available device, so that it will record even if we want to set a one-off recording or my wife wants to record something.
For example, Tuesday night at 8pm I have Marvel's Agents of SHIELD recording on the Colossus, and The Voice on the HD PVR. Currently, if I want to record a hockey game, I get the conflict, tell it to delete the voice, then go back into the guide and schedule the voice on SD under a 950q.
I hoped that if I set The Voice to "Record All Episodes, All Channels", it would record it on the 950q if I want to record the hockey game, or my wife wants to record Glee. So I deleted my "Record New Show on this Channel" recording of "The Voice," and attempted to change it to record all episodes, all channels. It doesn't seem to want to set to record on ANY channel. (No recording is scheduled) I don't know if there's a single conflict somewhere in the chain that doesn't allow it to record, or if I'm doing something wrong, or... Is what I want to do possible, or should I use my current conflict resolution of cancelling a recording and then manually setting it on an SD channel?
Did an upgrade to NPVR 3.1.1, and added patches R1A.
When trying to Watch "Live TV", the system responds "Unable to communicate with recording service".
Note that the normal recording is working fine, including even watching delayed TV...
There is a strange error on the logfile, see below (also include the rest.)
Please- Can you point me in the right direction?
Best regards
Thomas

I've been all over the forums and am having trouble figuring this out. I keep getting a "no such table: TEMP_FILE" error on my client upon startup of the "NPVR Recording Service". The error always pops up as a graphic that cannot be saved to a text file, so I attached a screenshot. Please find my logs attached as well.
1. It only happens on startup on the client. It's when the service starts
2. It happens regardless of firewall setting on both the client and server -- on or off.
3. Everything else seems to work fine -- recording just fine, playing back, schedules, etc.
4. It only shows up on the client -- never on the server.
5. I don't remember exactly when it started happening. It's been months (life got in the way of debugging it...)
6. I tried running nextpvr.exe -updatedb with and without a) replacing the npvr.db3 file and b) replacing my copy of empty.db with a blank one that I found on the forums from Sub. None of this helped.
It's really just an annoyance on the client. Any ideas?
Thanks!
-Ben
P.S. This is my first support post, so my apologies in advance if I have left anything out that is expected or done anything proving my newbie cluelessness .
