I am looking at getting a TV for my bedroom, so I'm pretty interested in this project. I currently run NPVR on a computer attached to the TV in my family room, but have never taken advantage of the client/server mode.

My understanding is that I would need to enable the web server on my NPVR computer and download the Samsung App to the television. When I run the App on the TV, I'd have full access to recordings on the server. Is this how it works? Would the server be able to playback recordings on the main TV and the client TV at the same time?

These are the televisions I'm considering:

UN32EH5300

UN32F5500

Is one of these a better choice for potentially running the Samsung App? I realize these models haven't been tested, but I'd like to know if the UN32F5500 is worth the extra investment.

I would like a patch whereby I can set the Manual Scan frequency to 370000 as I have TV channels on that channel but it seems that the program skips through the 300000+ and proceeds from 400000+.

I'm trying to get TV Listings to show 120 minutes in the EPG instead of the default of 180.
Also hoping this would show the :30 minute markers between hours.

I am trying to setup nextpvr on a windows 7 machine with XBMC installed. I keep getting the connection failed invalid pin error. I tried to install the patch I found on this forum. It hasn't worked so far. Yes I changed the pin. Seems like the worst mistake ever. Firewall is turned off. I have also tried to connect to the computer with cell phone that has XBMC on it. Same error. How do I trouble shoot the authentication process further?

Live TV and TV Guide work fine but I can start a recording from a client.

I'm having an unusual problem with my NPVR setup. I have NPVR running on a dedicated server with a Raspberry Pi running RaspBMC as a front end client. Every day at around the same time, if the Raspberry Pi is streaming a TV channel from the NPVR server it will begin to stutter for several seconds, before silently rebooting. The server itself remains on with the NPVR tray application running.

Can anyone offer me advice as to what I should be looking for in the log files to determine if it is NPVR causing the problem? There are rather a lot, and I can't tell whether NPVR is stopping the stream itself, or simply because it is no longer in use.

I installed it on my server and it works great. But I can't get it to run on the client. TV Recordings works fine. So does the Default NPVR TV Guide.

I'm using Playon/Playlater to record a stream, then comskip and videoredo to rebuild a file without ads. When I delete the original and rename the new file to the exact original file name, the DNLA client on my WDTV can't find the file even tho there is a file with the correct name in the folder. Is there anyway to replace the file without windows getting in the way?

Having a problem getting 2 DCR-2650's working at the same time.

If I have both connected, they look good in "device settings", and channel listings (4 sources) but I can only record from 1 of them.
The second one would have you believe it's working if you look at the TV Guide, but no indicator lites are lit on the unit and nothing is actually being recorded.
If I only connect one at a time they both work fine.

I read in another post about manually entering the tuners in the registry, but I thought the Nshared.DLL solved that problem?

In any event I didn't see anything like that in the registry.
