When I use the TV Guide, all my channels are shown.
When viewing Live TV, up/down arrow key also shows all my channels if no recording is in progress.
If a recording is in progress, the Live TV guide only shows one of each channel in a major-minor group. I have 7.1, 7.2; only one of them appears in the guide if a recording is in progress. If not recording, both are shown.
This seems to be related to how I've 'numbered' my channels. Since NPVR won't let me use 7.1, 7.2 etc, I've named them both 7. Works fine in every way except the Guide in Live TV, when a recording is in progress.
I've seen some of the suggestions (like naming 7.1 0701). I know the channels by the what the station calls themselves (like News Channel 7), so I'd like to use my current naming scheme.
I did try naming my second ch7 to ch4. It then does appear in the Live TV listing while recording.
I'm using 3.1.1 with the timezone patch (#post465641) and Schedules Direct. I have 4 tuners.
Issue: I cannot setup my tuner device in settings dialog.
Please see attached screen shot.
My setup:
Win 8.1
Older SiliconDust HDHomeRun HDHR-US Dual Networked High Definition Digital Tuner Device (White)
NextPVR version 3.1.1 with NPVR_2.5.9_Post-R2_Rollup_2_I
I have browsed other posts for a while now and have not found anything specific to my situation. Screen shot shows HDHomeRun working and the error I get when trying to configure nPVR.
My Windows install has been quite stable so I am not convinced something OS related is causing this. Any help would be appreciated! I am happy to grab other logs or any debug information that might help. I am an experienced user and already have already setup XBMC on multiple devices with MySQL for database sharing so a bit of troubleshooting shouldn't be over my head. Thanks in advance for the help!!
i recently have bought the mentioned cam module for my digital cine c/t card.
Now i see in the documentation, that only four moduls are supported.
My modul does not seem one of it.
Does it now really mean, that it will not work with nextpvr?
I have just started to test, but it stays dark currently.
I have been trying to write a batch file that could run on my NPVR PC to cleanup .nfo files for shows that have been deleted from within XBMC. So far I have not had any luck. I would like to delete .nfo files for the deleted episodes and not the tvshow.nfo files. Anyone got some clever batch file writing skills that cares to help? Or is there a tool already for this that I am unaware of?
Okay, so this is partially tongue in cheek, but I'd still like to know why nPVR just doesn't work right.
Is there something coded in nPVR that causes it to refuse to record The Mentalist correctly? It seems like no matter how I attempt to configure nPVR it will not record The Mentalist as instructed most of the time.
1) I can't create a "season" recording where nPVR is instructed to record extra time to account for schedule slipping due to football.
I bring up the recording options window, configure it like this:
and get this error:
But, it shows up in the Recurring section on the recording "tab".
However, there aren't any recordings show in the pending portion of the recording "tab" based on that Recurring recording.
I have 3 Hauppauge MVP's (the wired version) for sale. 2 of them are still shrink wrapped, the other one has been opened but never used.
I bought these a few years ago when I was going to use GBPVR for my HTPC, but the project was delayed then changed so these were never used.
They are located in the UK and postage would be £4.89 through Collect+
Open to reasonable offers.
I've attached an updated Windows build of the NextPVR addon for recent Gotham builds of XBMC. Its only been lightly tested, but I thought I'd post it to get more feedback.
Changes:
Quote:- added dialog to set recurring recordings, giving the same recurring options as NextPVR.
- added support for retrieving and storing last playback position
- now requires NextPVR 3.1.1 or higher
- fixed a bug that could cause an EPG event with no description to have a copy of last show's description, or cause a crash if the user was unlucky.
- includes bug fix for problem where live tv streams would sometimes not detect the connection was gone, so would continue recording
- more flexible approach to genre
- added support for EDL (though XBMC PVR framework doesn't seem to be calling this in my Gotham build)
Hello,
I just picked up an HDHR Prime a couple of days ago. I'm just looking for a way to record some TV shows, and figured I'd give NPVR a shot (as WMC does their dumb propriety stuff). Anyhow, I installed NPVR and have tried leaving settings on the default and also changing some of the decoders. However, nothing seems to work. When I click on Live TV nothing appears. The channels are showing up in the TV Guide. I read through a few posts and most say that a log file is necessary. If someone could help instruct me as to how that is done, I would be glad to do so.
