My machine seems to have developed a bit of a weird issue. If you are watching live TV and you press guide and select a new channel the guide stays on the screen and you hear about 2 seconds of the new program then nothing, the picture never changes from the guide over the old program. If you press back then live TV the new program runs.
I've made a work around for it by using LMRemote to put a stop media before the guide calls up the guide itself. This way it reliably changes channel but it is not ideal.
I've also noticed that whatever channel you pick after initial wake from sleep or reboot it will just present a black screen. Go back and retry and second time it displays.
Anyone got any ideas about this? I suspect it is the CODECS but the only one I can find that works at all is LAV, so changing seems to be out of the question, unless there is a good commercial pack out there.
This has been requested in the past, but I've never seen an answer.
Occasionally, something will fail and I won't notice for a week or more. A lot of failed recordings will pile up & it's very painful to delete them one at a time.
I upgraded to 3.1.1 yesterday but now seem to have an XMLTV based EPG that's not working. I use EPG Collector for the XMLTV EPG. No EPG data is showing after an import.
NPVR log is showing this
2013-10-28 10:26:37.736 [ERROR][10] Unexpected error emptying EPG: System.Data.SQLite.SQLiteException (0x80004005): database disk image is malformed

Does anybody have any suggestions for a quick fix before I delete the database and reinstall everything?
In trying to duplicate the EPG problem on a VM I use an HDHR with no guide. I modified my guide to get the EPG data and while the problem didn't arise the EPG was wrong. I have attached the npvr.db3 a log and an xmltv file that TSReader created for the same period. The times are off for sure but NextPVR didn't get all the shows either.
Note the scan time in NextPVR is one minute, in TS Reader it is almost instantaneous. Is that extreme time required?
I've posted an updated version of AutoRefresh to the wiki. This version adds support for specifying the monitor number if you happen to use it with a multi-monitor setup. Previously the plugin would only be able to control the primary monitor.
It also contains a minor fix to its default settings (so you'll only see this on a new install) - it mistakenly used 25 Hz for 25 fps content when it should really have been using 50 Hz.
I reloaded 3.1.1 from scratch which got rid of some sever client problems I was having. The only one left is, when a 2nd client starts a stream, sooner or later it will be kick with a "Tuner no longer available" message. It doesn't matter which device is in use, it is always the 2nd client that is started that gets booted.
Obviously, for me, this is new in 3.1.1 - 2.6.2 was rock solid. Hours and hours of streaming live TV with two HD-PVRs in use with no problems.
Logs attached. The 2nd tuner was in kicked while watching "All About Dogs" for reference.
I'm using the ATI 550 analog tuner card on Windows XP for TV and FM radio channels.
With NPVR I can tune TV channels correctly and switch from TV to FM channel correctly.
Once tuned an FM channel, the tuner remains in FM mode if I go back to a TV channel and keeps tuned on the last tuned FM channel.
I can only switch back to TV mode using other software like Chris Tweak, going to the GUI of the tuner.
I don't have this problem with other PVR software so I suppose it's a bug in NPVR.
I hope you can reproduce and fix it.
Okay this has probably been solved elsewhere but I don't know the right terms to search with.
So I've got one machine running an Infinitv 4. On that machine I can run NPVR and WMC and they both run fine side by side.
Here's the problem:
I have two computers setup to use that machine with the Infinitv 4 as the server. I start up one machine and start streaming live tv and that works. I see in the status of the server that the first tuner is in use. Then I start streaming NPVR on the second machine. I see that the second tuner is in use on the server but then the first tuner goes idle knocking out the video feed for the first machine.
Recording was working beautifully until I updated. Now I get that message 5 times in the status window. Scheduled recordings happen OK but then the device remains busy with that message and the computer does not go to sleep.
I couldn't see any patches for it?
Is there anything I could try before reinstalling as I just can't face doing all the setup again at the moment.
On the plus side the android XBMC client is playing live TV much better under the new version. It doesn't hang nearly as much.
