2250 Dual Analog/QAM tuner on Charter Digital Cable, no digital or hd box.

Have been happily using a December 2009 release of GB-PVR... happy wife = no reason to make changes on a rock solid setup! Over due donation is in short order! I have a LOT of channel mapping to figure out on the HD side... going to be interesting here for a while!

I have the analog tuners setup and working with epg, recording, etc. However I scanned the QAM and found a bunch of channels in the clear I can use. I would like to use them as some of them are major networks in HD versus the SD I have had until now. The issue I am running into is if I am recording on the analog tuners (both of them) I cannot watch live on a digital tuner. Can I not use the analogs and the digital tuners all at the same time? Basically does it give me two tuners available in any combination of digital or analog? As in I can't record two analog and digital all at once?

Also, I setup a digital line up in Schedules Direct and have them mapped on the QAM tuners, however they never seem to pull guide data?

Last question, which decoders are now recommended?

I realize how much work you've already put into this product.

That said, how much effort would it take you to add a switch to the RECORDINGS menu to filter records by drive letter?

The mechanism is already in place for me to easily tag specific recordings to different drives.

I can't imagine I'm the only person who would like to have separate listings for WiFE, KIDS, etc.

This is a big deal to me, and the last step to totally pull the plug on SageTV.

Your native handling of my DCR-2650 is rock solid compared to SageDCT.

Whilst I have configured the settings for audio/video in as far as next pvr plays live tv with sound, I cannot get it to record anything. If I click to record, it looks like it is (the program in the guide changes to red) but there is never anything in the recorded tv folder. I have set the folder, so it should be where I am looking.
I actually first noticed the problem (its a new install) via xbmc - that shows the program in the recorded programs list, but doesn't play, so working back I got down to just next pvr which presumably is where the fault lies.

I get the Guide and sound on live tv ok. Loads of channels found.

I have NextPVR and XVMC on a HTPC and am getting a pretty poor experience (nPVR works fine, but channel changes through XBMC take forever and XBMC LiveTV frequently hangs), would like to troubleshoot/get to grips with it.

My computer is set to hibernate. It wakes up 90 seconds (the default <WakeupPreRecordingSeconds>) before a scheduled recording, and hibernates about 10 minutes after the recording has finished. Usually it works perfectly, but sometimes the recording fails with the "Recording service not running at recording time" message.

As I figured out, it happens when hibernation occurs during that 90 seconds (about 10 minutes after a previous recording or other user activity on the computer). So, if the computer is already on at the wakeup time and the hibernation timer expires within the following 90 seconds just before the recording starts, then the computer hibernates and the recording fails.

I think the recording service or something else should prevent hibernation already during this period, but it does not. It is clearly shown by powercfg -requests, that there are no requests in this period. The request (SYSTEM: [DRIVER] Legacy Kernel Caller) appears only when the recording starts.

Any idea / suggestion / solution? Or did I miss something? Strange, that nobody else experienced this.

(ps. I think this is not specific to the version 3.1.1, it happened with 2.6.2 too.)

I have two cards, the 1600 and 1255, having the same problem with both. I have the latest WinTV7 installed with the drivers, also have latest NextPVR installed on both pc's.

Setup a recording last night on the WinTV, the tuner was fine when I did it. Woke up this morning and it did not record. Checked WinTV and it said no tuner available. NVR said the same. Noticed the NVPR system tray icon was red, indicating it was recording. Although had not set up any recordings with it. Checked the record folder and there were no recordings

I restarted the NVR recording service and the tuner returned in WinTV and NPVR. This has happened the last few nights on both cards

Is there a conflict between NVPR and WinTV with the newest Hauppauge drivers?

Has now started DVB-T.
Cannot select EPG, only have Live 2Hr update, as channel is not listed under Mapping choice.
Is there an easy way to change this?

I just started trying to get me wife more involved with NextPVR and so far it is an epic failure since NRecord is marking recordings on her show as failed I have several examples that have a similar pattern.
