Would it be possible to get an option added to NScriptHelper to output the start time in local format? It is stored in the DB in UTC and I would like to use it in my RenameRecording.bat file.
Do I have to install the 3rd party TV Guide and utilize that along side the NextPVR plugin, or does the NextPVR plugin have it's own TV Guide that you can view on XBMC? It works fine if you go directly with NextPVR?
I have a windows desktop with nextpvr as server. On my windows laptop I have nextpvr client, no problems, also with xbmc as frontend and xbmc nextpvr addon no problems.
On my samsung galaxy note 10.1 (android) I also installed xbmc with nextpvr addon. Everything works great except regular issues with watching live tv.
When it works, I stop the stream and select a new channel. When I do this a couple of times, I get endless buffering or a crash.
I attached the logs.
I often see these lines after problems in xbmc-logs:

My trusty old LG LCD seems to be on its way out (although I may try a capacitor kit for the PSU in it's death throws)
With the recent activity on here with talk of apps for Samsung, LG and little android dongles etc etc is which replacement TV I ought to be considering.
From a really dumb thing with USB/HDMI for a dongle up to a "smart" TV. Both the Samsung and LG solutions would appear to be reliant on the development and support of a single person (although so does NPVR/sub and that works out ok! and so does the NMT/martin).
I guess I'm hoping the existing TV lasts for a few months and see what transpires for the various options - I didn't get caught with the old VHS/Beta choice years ago - I made the even worse choice of the Philips V2000 format ;(
I've just setup NextPVR (2.6.2) for the first time. I followed the guide as much as possible and got some channels on Live TV. On most channels (actually all that I have tested so far), when I right click the video and go to Audio Stream, my choices are "Disabled" and "Track 1 (AC3)". Some channels also have "Track 2 (AC3)". Selecting any of the AC3 streams makes no difference -- and I think I know why... When I go to Settings > Decoders, AC3 Audio is set to "Disabled". And the drop-down offers no other choices. What do I need to install to enable AC3 decoding?
I just setup NextPVR with my Comcast CableCard system. If I manually start a recording, it starts, but if I try to schedule a recording, nothing happens. It goes through the option to setup the schedule, I click OK, and nothing gets scheduled.

The problem is that I just can't get it to scan any channels, the tuners show up but won't scan.
Tried running the application as administrator and not.
Ran it with the firewall disabled, ran it with the router firewall disabled, both disabled.
Had the firewall enabled and with the three exceptions in there.
Had it set to "NextPVR" in the HDHR settings, and tried with it set to "Other - ATSC/QAM"
Tried uninstalling/reinstalling.
...still won't scan be any channels.
Can't upload a log, getting an error message saying it's an "Invalid File".
sub - I know you don't recommend using the /transcode url but can you explain some logic of how the ffmpeg command line args are formatted in config.xml (and how they're processed)?

The config.xml <TranscodeArgs> has "-s [RESOLUTION] " which is logged here as 1280x768 so suggests you've pre-processed the stream (to find the input resolution) or simply have this as a default when running ffmpeg.
EDIT: OK, ignore the above as it appears he had edited the TranscodeArgs to replace [RESOLUTION] with fixed values.
Also as you can see from the url it's requesting "&resolution=768x432" but you're passing this to ffmpeg as the "-aspect" parameter. Admittedly those figures boil down to a 16:9 aspect ratio but I would have thought the "&resolution" request should be used for the WxH of the transcoded file.
Also is there a particular reason to use libx264 for -vcodec and libfaac for -acodec and enforce a .ts file extension for the output file?

Last evening I was able to get HDHomerun working after I setup some firewall rules. But had some odd quirks and I want to get them ironed out.
1.) When creating the fire wall rules do you have to setup inbound and outbound rules in order for it completely work.
2.) I was unable to setup timers on the client side to record some shows, xbmc client gave me a message stating the backend cannot perform this operation. How do i fix that problem?.
3.) I cannot rewind or fast forward after a pause, Is this normal or do I need to find other settings.
3.)When setting up a timer for a recording does the client perform the operation or does it send to the backend to receive the timings from the client and does the work. The only reason I ask is that i have my client turned off while not in use.
4.)When it finishes recording is there a way for it to be moved automatically to my xbmc library and have it properly named.
