I put all files into the locations mentioned in the 'how to install' thread below. The plugin is recognized by the app, I activated it in the settings and have the menu entries appear but I can't get it to work.
If I click on theTV recording menu entry nothing happens.
If I click the TV listings entry I get the following system exception error:

is it possible to manually edit start and end times for recordings created using the TV guide?
The problem around here is that some channels include their own 'padding' in the EPG starting times, i.e. shows supposed to start at 20:15h have their EPG starting time set to 20:14h. Since program starting times are pretty much standardized across channels and not all channels have this 'pre-padding' in the EPG info, this often leads to recording scheduling conflicts that could easily solved by manually editing the start/end times (or by negative padding times), but I can't find such functions in NPVR. Did I miss some setting somewhere that could make this possible? Any suggestions about how to deal with this issue (other than scheduling recordings via the manual recording dialogue)?
Hi Folks, so seemingly all of a sudden a program ( ATSC via Hauppage 2250 ) I have been recording without incident for the last year, starts giving me a "No Errors, but No Data Collected" error. Message says "this is usually because device failed to lock a signal." The program directly before it on the same channel records perfectly fine, so this does not make sense. Any ideas ?
Hi everyone,
I installed NextPVR, switched HDHR from WMC to NextPVR (and also tried Tuner QAM), Enabled all three exe's on Firewall, yet it still cannot find any channels.
I am using basic cable over Time Warner without CableCard or Box (C-QAM) and I get all channels listed on HDHR fine, they all work on HDHR QuickTV and on WMC.
im wanting to know the service?method calls for the following
Get the comskip times for a recording
Schedule a recording, e.g. "All New on this channel" etc
the xbmc addon only shows you how to schedule a single recording instance, and doesn't support comskip (well i didnt see it in the source code).
if they're not currently available sub can you please add them. Preferable comskip should return an array of 2 digit values (start, end) in seconds, and schedule a recording should take a enum value of type, e.g. "All New Recordings" could be type 4, and "This day this timeslot" could be 3 (but match the actual enum values to the nextpvr gui, I dont have access to nextpvr atm to get the actual names/indexes ). I rather set a recording based on an enum value so I'm 100% certain when my app schedules a recording its the same as scheduling in nextpvr, and if nextpvr slightly changes how it schedules my app also schedules the same way. Also please add a call to get the enum values, e.g. service?method=Setting.RecordingScheduleTypes which returns a int/enum value and a name for it. So if new recording options are added/removed in the future, my app automatically gets the updated recording options.
I’m having an issue with XBMC’s NPVR where I’m receiving a “NextPVR PVR Client – Tuner no longer available” error but I can access the channel with the NPVR program without issue. This occurs when I’m watching certain channels and it’s a hit-n’-miss issue that is more often hit-than-miss. I ran my XBMC in debug mode, recreated the issue, copied the logs from NPVR and uploaded the logs to XBMC’s error log database (Case # 37848). I also made a video of it; it’s not of the logged files (I was swearing too much) but along the same lines.
I can watch 4 of the 6 channels but two of them I can’t - I get the error. But, when I got into NPVR itself, it works fine. I tried changing my NPVR and XBMC NPVR Ports but no luck.
If you require any system info or further information, feel free to contact me. It's with a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-2250 card, Windows OS, Thursday, Winds Calm, +19 Celsius, Sky Clear Conditions.
What gives?
PS: Swearing at it doesn't fix it. I tried that solution quite a few times.
So, onto the next problem. I'm using LM gestion for blasting and it feels like it takes almost a minute for it to take control of the blaster after wake from hibernate. I haven't timed it myself, but if NPVR is responding after wake up and I go to the guide to watch something it doesn't blast. I wait a bit longer and it will blast which leads me to believe that it's taking a while for the blaster to initialize or something like that. So my question is: how soon after a scheduled wakeup does npvr start blasting channels? I think I need to delay a couple of minutes to ensure that everything is loaded up.
I'm in windows 7, 64 bit, I7, an SSD and something like 16 GB of ram.
I have asked this question also on the npvr clients xbmc forum but with no answer yet so I am hoping that someone here might be able to assist me.
I am running xbmc 12.2 npvr 2.6.2 npvr client 1.6.5 everything works like a charm when timeshift is not enabled but with it enabled I get the error "NextPVR PVR Client Tuner no longer available" when I press on a channel to start viewing it, is there a remedy for this? anything that I can help with debuging this or somoene with this enabled and working that could shed some light for me?
I'm a server guy, so I have put VMware on my tiny HP Microserver. Have been running Win2003 on it with my Kworld DVBT UB499-2T USB DVB stick and all has worked really well.
Win2003 will expire in a few years and I also want to get more experience with 2008, so I loaded up a new VM with 2008r2.
I managed to get the hardware drivers sorted out, but then npvr didnt see the stick.
