I am a recent transplant from GBPVR to NPVR. Trying to get the nDroid set up and I have a question in which I wasn't able the find the answer to through searching.
Set-up on the Phone side of things:
Server Name:
Can stay as "Default" Server URL(Wi-Fi):
IP Address of the computer that is hosting the NPVR Software Server URL (Mobile)
This is the one that I have no idea where to start; is this my phone carrier server? (eg. AT&T) Port:
Port to use to access info (default 8790 or change in both nDroid settings and Web server tab in NPVR) Followed by allowing access through any exisiting firewalls on computer. Userdame:
User name set in web server settings on NPVR Password
Password set in web server settings on NPVR
If I missed it in the searching my apologies, it just doesn't seem like I was able to find the info.
I am trying to set it up on a motorola atrix if that is any relevance.
Occasionally I get recordings which wont play in NextPVR, no sound or video so looked in more detail at a recent one. I have enclosed the log of this file played on the client but it behaves the same on the server. This particular file is 1.4GB and the programme was 30 mins plus 3mins pre and post padding. However MediaInfo says it is 23 seconds long! The file plays normally in VLC and MPC but the first few seconds are blank before the channel welcome screen appears. The channel seems to start at 18:58:00 and the programme at 19:00:00 but the previous channel seems to have the data stream until about 18:57:30 which is about 30 seconds after the recording started. Is it going to be a problem for NextPVR that the channel has probably changed its ID during the padding period!
I'm using wintv7_cd_2.7.exe and the 64-bit version of SoftPVR bat file from the npvr wiki. The extraction into temp1 appears to work fine, but the required files as specified in the bat file are not present in the list of extracted files. Is it possible the file names have changed or am I missing something else?
I use ComSkip during recording to detect the commercials and make an EDL/txt file. When I play back those recordings in XBMC under Movies or TV shows it successfully cuts out all of the commercials. However when i play back those recordings under the PVR recordings location it ignores all of the commercial skip files.
I added an external DVD/CD to my system over the weekend. It added some new decoders to the list of available. They do not work and they seem to have stopped the old decoders from working. This addition is the only thing I can think of that has the possibility of causing my new problem. I get a black screen and no audio if I try to watch live TV. If I try to playback a recorded video it never leaves the recording menu, I don't even get the black screen. Any ideas? I have included the logs.
I have been using NextPVR for years but lately I cannot record BBC Three.
I have noticed that on KingofSat, the frequency changed late last year:
BBC & Freesat & Sky Digital: New frequency for BBC Three: 10818.00MHz, pol.V (DVB-S SR:22000 FEC:5/6 SID:10351 PID:5400/5401 English,5402 English- Clear).
The polarity is listed as Vertical but when I go into my device settings, that frequency is listed as Horizontal.
Hello all and thanks in advance.
I'm trying to setup so I can use with XBMC. I cannot get Schedules Direct to import or detect any of my HD channels. Everything else seems to import correctly (tuners are detected, all other channels are detected). Can somone direct me to a step by step setup or answer why the HD channels aren't being detected? I have Time Warner and using a tuning adapter with cablecard plugged into my HD Prime.
I have exported out my recordings in NPVR 2.5.9, made some changes to the recurring-backup.xml and imported it back to NPVR. But I think it merged both old and new recording list instead of replacing the old recording list with the newly imported recordings, resulting in many duplicate recordings in the recurring recordings.
Import Recordings function good for clean installation of NPVR only?
Must clear out all old recordings before importing recordings?
Hello
i wonder that npvr does not allways records the full program. In Recording Settings there will be all x´d (backgrund/out-of-process/block shut down).
Waking up from hibernate does the system for recording correctly. Sometimes the recording is okay, sometimes after a few minutes there is the end.
Can you help a noob with nextpvr and give a hint?there are no .bat files-do i have to create some?
a sample logfile of a not working job i rared for you.
thanks
I try to get nextpvr running on a WSE 2012 and want to use NEWA directly with the integrated IIS. Is there any guide or how-to available to make this possible?
The idea behind this is to use the integrated encryption of IIS for external access from the internet.
I tried to get it running with the actual build of newa and the the information on the guide is already visible, but it looks as something is missing as the icons are misplaced (View attachment). Furthermore it is not possible to view live TV.
