I had 2.5.9 with "NPVR Post-R2 Rollup 2" patch which worked fine. Once I installed 2.6.2, the NPVR client is showing live TV fine, but in XBMC I'm getting "Tuner no longer available" in 90% of the times. I ran the patch again (over 2.6.2...) and it solved the issue (but obviously downgraded me).
I have added an inbound firewall rule for the ndroid service in the win7 and have an entry for UDP and TCP in domain, private and public.
I can stream content to my phone ok in nDroid (and access NEWA FWIW) but I can't update the EPG in ndroid unless I disable the windows firewall on the server.
What am I missing?
Also, can you remind me where I set the streaming options as mine are greyed out.

If you're new to NextPVR, see the list of pre-requisite software at: http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...requisites (directx runtime, visual c++ runtime etc). If you're upgrading from an earlier build, you need to make sure you stop the NextPVR software before installing.

This release is a fairly small upgrade from the previous release. It's largely an updated installer including 2.5.9 plus R2 patches, plus a few small extra things. From the change log:

I'm listening to music through my TV (HDMI) but the screensaver keeps kicking in and blanking the screen. Is there anyway to stop this. I do want to retain the screensaver so cant turn it off globally.
Okay, having thrown most of an afternoon at this I have finally decided to ask the question.
I have NextPVR setup and working. I can make recordings fine, but they do not play back. If I try and get them to do so they simply display a black screen. If I load up XBMC and go to the directory those recordings play fine, but not in NextPVR. XBMC looks great but is woefully lacking as a PVR so I am caught between a rock and a hardplace if I can't get NextPVR to at least play back what it records.
The codecs must be there because XBMC can play them. I have even ripped out the windows 8 that was on the box and gone back to windows 7 just to simplify things, but still no go.
I'm a long time mediaportal user, thats staring to investigate other systems that maybe more beneficial.
I was wondering if nextpvr had something similar to djblus's sky and freesat mod (http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/thread...ber.96767/)
Where the freesat stations are orgnised into groups and maintained automatically? are is this something I would need to manage manually
I'm trying to set up a Ceton Infinitv 4 card with SageDCT and Network Recorder, Windows 8. I can't find a Network Recorder folder in Plugins. Do I create it? When I open the xml file with Notepad it doesn't have that curvy look to it - it is just one line - does that matter? Do I have to format it? Do I change the port to one given in SageDCT? Is the "step by step installation" in the wiki the same as the "installation" that follows? Those are some of my first questions.
