Hi, with the increasing use of digital cameras that take video as well as photos we are ending up with a mix of pictures and short video clips.
It would be really nice if these would play in the picture viewer. When showing our pictures we lose half the story as the bits of video get missed.
Periodically I keep retrying NextPVR, as I was very happy with GBPVR before it, but the latest version still gives me problems recording.
The test I do is to set up half a dozen recordings alternating between different multiplexes (BBC followed by ITV, the BBC followed by C4 etc), with hopefully enough time for the PC to sleep in between.
Unfortunately with the latest version I still have the problem that a number of the recordings in my test of 8 fail.
I've attached the NRecord logs it produced. The test I did was to watch ITV1 live, then stop viewing and sleep the PC with the following recordings set
* BBC1 1320-1325 (112MB)
itv1 1405-1407 (46MB)
BBC1 1450-1455 (193MB)
* Channel4 1530-1535 (69MB)
* BBC2 1616-1621 (87MB)
ITV1 1700-1705 (84MB)
* BBC3 1736-1738 (25MB)
E4 1800-1805 (81MB)
Those marked with a * failed to record anything playable, though they all produced files of the lengths above.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'd like to switch back to NextPVR.
I managed to break my previously working setup. The NMT native client works fine and I can watch movies using it, but I can no longer load NPVR; I just get a black screen. The most recent change I made was installing the SAF decoders and changing some of the render and decoder settings. Below is the info from the NMTsyntax Checker and I have attached logs. Any thoughts?

I'm a new user, mainly for xbmc integration but its not quite up to scratch so trialling this as an alternative to wmc. I've got all of it up and running but on the HD channels I am missing audio.
I'm sure this has possibly been asked before but couldn't find anything in a search.
A couple of questions...
Is the list of arguments on the wiki up to date?
Quote:Arguments:
1. filename - the full path and file name of the recording file.
2. channelnumber - the channel number it was recorded from.
3. oid - unique identifier to the scheduled_recordings tables applicable even if filename (%1) changes
4. captureOid - unique identifier to the device used for recording
Does PostProcessing.bat get called even if a recording fails (or if it is cancelled part way through by the user)?
Excuse me if this has been covered elsewhere in the forum, I have searched but without finding a definitive answer.
I am planning on buying a TBS 6984 DVB-S2 PCI-e Quad Tuner to run under Windows 7 64 Bit.
I recall that in the past there were issues with TBS DVB-S cards and the drivers for Win 7. Crucially I seem to think that they could only be used in DVB- S mode only and not DVB-S2.
Have these problems been resolved and how have other users got on with this family of cards please?
This is a significant value purchase and I am not keen to get caught out! I have been happily using Haupaugge cards to date on an old Vista pc but they are limited on DVB-S2 options especially if you want more than one tuner.
Is there a wiki or setup for "best" playback for live tv? It seems I get fine playback on standard channels through the xbmc pvr addon, but when I have high def (720p & 1080i), I get jumping video and it will lock if I don't stop the video first. I'm a noob and any help directions to read is greatly appreciated.
