  community devs
Posted by: reven - 2012-12-09, 09:01 AM - Forum: NextPVR Web Console - No Replies

ok, this is a hot topic, so lets resolve it and move on

i do want community development, it helps a project going. so if we're going to do this, lets do it right.

1. everything is discussed in this forum, when a feature is agreed on
2. all work needs to have a ticket in github and they can be assigned to a developer
3. everything needs to be thoroughly tested, unit tests preferred, but also any browser facing code needs to be tested only support browsers (IE9/10, chrome, firefox) and tested at differently resolutions (theres currently 3 supported screen sized, and its adaptive to those)

may update that list as we go.

currently im planning on working on the mobile side, i have started this (current code on github kinda breaks the console because of this, i made it think every client was a mobile browser to test something out).

if you want to work on a something follow those guideliness, discuss, create in github, test work, push work.

key thing, TEST. this must be solid, thats one reason im semi unwilling to open this up, i want to ensure the quality of the product.

if you're wanting to work on the GUI, you must know jquery, knockoutjs, and how to communicate via ajax. it has to be a responsive web app.

that sound like a plan to everyone?

  NScriptHelper.exe functions
Posted by: shaunpatrick77 - 2012-12-09, 02:43 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (8)

A quick two part question

(a) Is there an up-to-date definitive list of NScriptHelper.exe's functions?

(b) I know it can read the title, subtitle and description of a recording, but can it also write this info?

That would be a HUGE help as my guide data is often incomplete or inaccurate and I would love to write a little app to help me edit/enter the missing info, but I'd rather not touch the database directly.

Many thanks Smile

Have you looked at the iNEWA that fjbpchristiaens created using iui framework? Maybe he would be interested in porting over to web console as well.....

  Video repeats every few seconds
Posted by: rykr - 2012-12-08, 09:24 PM - Forum: Kodi / XBMC - Replies (1)

Just downloaded xbmc beta 2 and connected it to the latest next pvr running on a second machine. Channels seem to come through ok and tuning a channel seemed to work as well. The only problem was that the tv channel would play for a few seconds and then repeat the same section of video over and over.

Anyone seen this?

can't blast independently with MCE Hauppauge dongle
Posted by: jam_zhou - 2012-12-08, 12:43 AM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

So, I've got an Hauppauge MCE ir receiver/transmitter and using both IRSS and LM Kemapping neither can transmit through the two ports independently. I can transmit to port 2 by itself or both...but not independently. This is in Win 7 x64.

Also in XP with my Adaptec 3610 the same problem occurs using IRSS and HIP.

Has anyone seen this and how did you solve this problem?

No Picture or sound for recordings
Posted by: Cheenis - 2012-12-08, 12:30 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

Through using this forum I've managed to get picture for live TV, but the recordings I have made give me a black screen, no sound, but it does give me the details of the programme at the bottom. I'm guessing it is a codec issue, but I can't seem to get it to work. No doubt I am missing the obvious!

I've just installed on a Win7 64bit machine. I've put in the latest version and the patch in preparation for XBMC 12 (Frodo). The only things I have changed are the folder locations for live TV buffer and recordings and I have changed the MPEG2 Video decoder to MS DTV-DVD video decoder. Everything else is fresh out of the box build wise.

Any thoughts?

All help very much appreciated!

Reven, I have installed the Webconsole and I get the first login screen (http://192.168.0.100:8877/Setup) working. However, after entering username, email and password I am only getting a "Sorry, an error occurred while processing your request." message.

Im not sure what logs to attach so please advise.

Thanks,

\\AGerdin
