Not sure whats caused this. Any client would just crash/timeout and show no servers available so im guessing backend issue. Logs attached. Restart has solved the problem for now.
I recently got both a Raspberry Pi 4B for a personal project to bring Mexican channels to the US, which will be completed in December, but upon connecting the tuner, it doesn't show up on NextPVR settings even though it shows up in dmesg...

And I also used TVHeadend to compare both software, however it actually detected the thing.
It detected fine on my Windows machine, why not my Pi?
Just a short query regarding suggestions for my particular use case.
I'd intend to use NextPVR through Kodi clients on any one of 2 windows PCs and a RPi 4- it's primarily 5000-6000 IPTV channels, no VODs, and no intention of recording TV. Ideally I would like the server to run 24/7.
I use a customised m3u link where some channels have XML EPG data assigned and the rest through schedules direct.
Any advice or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
Unhandled exception. System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (2): An error occurred trying to start process 'ffmpeg' with working directory '/Applications/NPVR'. No such file or directory
I'm trying to scan for some new/updated channels on my HDHR Flex 4k, and NPVR is never returning any channels from the scan no matter what tuner I try.
I've attached my log. It shows some kind of failure saying the scanner isn't available. BTW, I didn't choose any guide for mapping, but even when I do it still doesn't work.
I should mention that everything else is fine. I can watch channels on any tuner, and I can see the status of a tuner when it's active.
Is there any way to get UIDroid to display in Full/High DPI? The long-press D-Pad centre options are fairly limited and making changes to the NLite Client on the host doesn't reflect on UIDroid.
I don't have time to take photos right now, but the icon/text scaling is fairly poor for a 4K display. I'm using the app on a FireTV stick.
I can post photos to better explain what I mean by this if need be.
I suppose my main question is
1. Is there a way to make UIDroid display in high DPI mode, similar to the desktop client
2. If not, can this be added
I am using webgrab++ to create an xmltv file. The file lists channels from both Sweden and Finland. NextPVR shows the Finnish channels correctly, but the Swedish channels are shown two hours earlier than they should be.
The xmltv file uses UTC with adjustment for time zone, e.g the Finnish entries are + 3 hours and the Swedish entries are + 2 hours.
Any ideas why the Swedish entries are being shown presumably in UTC without adjustment?
Hi,
about 3 or 4 weeks ago i upgrade Kodi and got the incompatibility issue with the old NextPVR add in. After a couple of tries I managed to upgrade to the latest NextPVR.
Everything was fine but during the middle of night for some reason Kodi decided that look for the old version and as it wasn't compacity disabled the nextPvr add on.
Rebooted Kodi, tried to add in the add-on. But no luck.
I tried opening the NextPVR web UI NextPVR. The recordings were those i had made while on the old NextPR version. I tried watching a channel but just got a blackbox.
I opened up control panel and uninstalled anything with the name NexPRV on.
I then ran the update url which downloaded the files and installed NextPVR again.
It all works. All the Devices were already there as were the channels.
I have no idea why at midnight NextPVR failed. The EPG does run at midnight but nothing in the logs.
