I am running hdhomerun with NPVR. The channels are configured, EPG is up to date. I have an nrecord exception on the AVG firewall. I am receiving a blank screen when I try to watch a channel. Also when I try to record I receive a empty file. Does anybody know why this does not work????
Anyone successfully running NPVR in Windows 8? I figured I would install it and play with it a bit.
So far, I'm not impressed. Ugly green screen, but it is a beta and an early one at that. It will have to have many improvements for me to spend much time with it.
I want the analog recording quality in NPVR to be equal to what it was with high in GBPVR but I can't remember what the values were. I assume I adjust it in config.xml where it says
Clutching at straws here but is there an 'external' way to tell if a new recording has been scheduled (or an existing one cancelled)? By 'external' I mean not using a plugin within NextPVR.
I've started using NPVR a few days ago.
I have two computers that are connected each to a separate DVB-T cards (USB).
Both computers runs Windows XP SP3. However the DVB-T cards are not of the same brand.
I've succeeded to configure PVR on one of my computers.
Unfortunately, when I tried to do this on the other computer, the application crashes during device channel scanning of DTV.
I constantly receive an exception message box, just after the scan seems to be completed. I suspect this got to do with some non existent radio channels the application finds and since they are not really channels then it causes this problem.
I'm an experience developer myself, and I wonder where can I get the sources of the application. I believe I will be able to help fixing the problem or even fix it myself.
Any help will be appreciated.
My apologies to everyone involved with this project, but I needed to post a new thread that will hopefully shed some light on some issues that I am facing and am seeing by others. I have no experience with the prior gpvr, but notice old threads within the forums. This old info has required some digging and trying to understand where this project is at, both old and new. Most of the plug ins that I am using are now functioning correctly and I would like to set this program up with more features, but the instability and work arounds make me question what my next step should be.
I do not wish to tick people off, and only wish to make this program better. This program is the only solution that I have found in order to accomplish what I am trying to do.

When the screen saver kicks in, I get the selected media folder photo's displayed as thumb nails at random positions around the display. Is there a method to make full screen ??
Used to use a plugin with GBPvr that did this, couldn't see one for NPVR.
So I have a computer that has lost its ability to playback microsoft dv avi files. Can anyone tell me what I may need to try reregistering to get it working again?
