2 clients, 1 doesnt show any listings (the listing screen doesnt show either)
Posted by: SFX Group - 2011-10-17, 05:28 PM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (3)

Hi

I have 2 clients from a nPVR server at the moment, the XP x64 is fine, the XP x86 doesnt show any listings, infact wont even show the listings screen (stays on the main menu), the client looks fine (can pull all the channels in the settings, so its pulling this from the server no problems).

how do i debug this?

  DVB-S/S2 EPG Problems
Posted by: siliconaudio - 2011-10-17, 10:18 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (6)

I have a problem with DVB-S/S2 EPG. I have a customised satellite ini file that includes all the transponders on the Optus D1 satellite that I want to use. Some are vertical, some are horizontal. During an EPG update, only the EPG from one transponder is populated. I suspect that my universal LNB is taking a little bit long either to switch between horizontal and vertical or low/high band - and therefore the EPG scan is timing out.

Now, if I enable EPG update during live TV, all of my EPG is populated. However, the old problem of multiple copies of EPG then crops up, meaning I need to right click many times to move forward in the time-line. This problem has been around since the last version, only it seems worse since I upgraded to 2.2.6 with the R2 patch.

Is there a way to make nPVR wait a little longer, after it sets the LNB polarity and/or 22 Khz band selection, before it scans for EPG?

Or, is the issue of multiple EPG layers when set to update during live TV ever going to be fixed?

Cheers!

Recordings fail using the "Any Channel" option
Posted by: XJW - 2011-10-17, 09:48 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (11)

I have setup a manual recurring recording using the standard recordings screen with advanced rule: title like '%doc martin%'.

If I use the option "Any Channel" it will not list Doc Martin as a pending recording. If I select channel "ABC1" it works.

This problem appears to have started after loading the R2 patches.

Move back to current time in TV Listings
Posted by: dvasco - 2011-10-16, 11:12 PM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (6)

I can move around in Guide and jump back to the current time by hitting F1 or TV Guide on the remote. Is there a way to do the same thing in TV Listings?

Change default keys to open a plugin
Posted by: dvasco - 2011-10-16, 11:12 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (5)

Is it possible to change F1 to open TV Listings instead of Guide? I think that option existed in GBPVR but I can't find anything for NPVR.

  MC2XML no longer working?
Posted by: dspdrew - 2011-10-16, 09:01 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (9)

Does anyone know what happened to MC2XML? All my program data is gone, and hasn't been downloading for a while now. It doesn't seem like the utility is doing anything now. I looked around online, and it seems none of their websites work either.

  Colossus not available to configure
Posted by: toricred - 2011-10-16, 07:30 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (16)

I am in the process of setting up NPVR as a replacement for SageTV. My system uses 6 HDHR tuners for ATSC and 4 Colossus cards with DirecTV. When I go into set up the devices the HDHRs show up both correctly and as DCR somethings. Three of my Colossi show up, but one isn't in the list of devices. Any ideas how to get the last one to show up?

  Schedules Direct and extra info
Posted by: dvasco - 2011-10-16, 07:26 PM - Forum: TV Listings - Replies (1)

What, if any, is the easiest way to get the extra info to show up in the TV Guide when using SchedulesDirect as the guide source? It doesn't auto-populate that info.

On a side note, I don't understand why the extra info is purged and isn't kept as default.

Channels not showing up when scanning...
Posted by: big3b69 - 2011-10-16, 11:08 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (10)

About every other month, I rescan the over-the-air channels on the tv to see is anything new comes up. Well the other day a couple of new ones did. So I went into the settings in Npvr and tried scanning and even though it picked up some channels, they were ones that had no programing at all. Why is it not picking up the good channels that have always come in?

I added the two program files to the firewall exceptions, per previous posts and got the same results. I tried to register the filters and same thing. I deleted all the channels out of one of the tuners and same thing. I know that some of the channels are not weak at all. I attached the logs that were right after the last attempt.

Are the tuners going bad? Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Matt B.
