I got a new Apple TV 4k today and installed the NexPVR app on it. Setup was easy, but I've come up against a strange problem.
My DVBV-T channels on an ancient Hauppauge WinTV HVR 1900 play fine, but any DVB-S Freesat channels on the Mystique SaTiX-S2 card just give a blank screen and no sound. Using the web client or the desktop app works fine.
So, after a while of using NextPVR now, I'm somewhat struggling to really make use of it. This may be an issue that I'm coming from mythtv and have some (wrong) expectations set by that. However, here's my issue:
We frequently miss shows that we'd want to watch because we forget to schedule a recording for each of them all the time. I can't find a way to allow scheduling recording being more flexible. All I can see is to set a schedule on a particular title in the guide, or set a timer by date and time. Both of them may be recurring, but that's not really that useful.
As an example, let's look at Formula 1. Assuming I'd want to record every race, I can't figure out how to set up a rule that would do that. Doing that by timer is not really an option because while it happens (usually) on a biweekly basis, the actual time differs for every race given it's a live event presented at the local time of the location it happens. Also the biweekly basis isn't set. A special holiday may skip a week and so on... Also I can't schedule it by title, because the title changes for every race too. One is "Formula 1: Grand Prix of Hockenheim", the next one is "Formula 1: Grand Prix of Melbourne". I can't see a way to schedule a rule by "Formula 1: *" for instance.
Now the F1 is really just an example, I am not actually interested in that, but the same applies to many many other shows. Like the german "Tatort" has exactly the same issue. It's "Tatort: Bla bla", varying the title for every week, just as another example.
Maybe I'm just missing something and this is possible? But I couldn't find anything neither in the Kodi frontend nor the NextPVR web interface.
I'm getting a few bad recordings at random on my more difficult channels. And i want to rule out if it's one of my 3 USB Hauppauge 955Q - Is there a place in the UI where I can see which USB tuner is giving me problems? I'll attach a log - if that will help. The problem channel tends to be 22.3 NHKWorld

All was working fine, then last night ABC & CBS stopped playing and recordings have failed. I just get a black screen when I try to play from Live TV, the TV Guide or a recording. All other channels are fine. Do I need to rescan all the channels, or is there a way to pull in a new signal for just those 2? How would I do either of those things? Thank you for any help!
I have a new Windows installation and I can't run nlite. It start up alright but when I play a file I get a message the dependencies for Unmanaged.dll are not met. What needs to be installed other than LAV32?

I am getting ready to set up multiple instances on Kodi 20.
my question is how does Kodi handle different instances in different time zones when it comes to the guide?
What I mean is I have one instance of NextPVR running on a server in central time zone and using the guide data from the antenna
and want another server at a relatives house running in mountain time zone using antenna data..... they are several states away and have way more OTA channels.
Through Kodi I have noticed through testing at my location and 2 servers that Kodi melds the 2 together with no issues but what will happen to the guide when I take the second server to
my relatives and run channel scans and use a mountain time zoned computer.
Can i just cheat the computers time to compensate?
I have NPVR installed on my Windows 10 PC. I have cable connected through some Hauppauge tuner cards (WinTV 418). I mainly use RasPi4's to watch at various TVs throughout my house (using Librelec 11). Sometimes I will let a channel play for several hours, and the screen will randomly freeze. Sound continues to play usually, but the picture freezes. It doesn't happen often, but I'd like to fix it before football season if I can (can't have freezes during games).
I've tried changing my live tv and recording folder to my network NAS, but that didn't seem to help. I tried changing the livetv time from 360min to 720min and back -- no noticeable difference. I'm not sure if these options matter, but preferred streaming profile is default w/ "avoid transcoding where possible" check marked. Video Encoder CPU and Recording Auto Transcode set to "leave recordings in native format".
Any suggestions on what to try? I have no idea if the settings on the client side do anything, such "chunk size". I have timeshift enabled and would like to keep it enabled rewind live TV.
Would it help to have a solid state drive or something that isn't my main drive, and use that solely for live tv and recording? Any suggestions on any of this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I have been working on getting my NextPVR HTPC Linux server gong. Everything seems to work fine but I noticed the timing files for the recordings that are generated automatically by NextPVR are empty. The recordings play ok and thumbnails are present for skipping.
I tried using the local TV buffer location (instead of the remote share) for the recordings just to see if the .timing files would populate but they were still empty. I can generate the .timing files manually with the uiclient (uidroid).
My other Linux server does generate .timing files that are populated with data automatically so I can't figure why they are empty with this setup.
I do not want to delete any recordings, or at least when I want to. How can I prevent the message asking if I want to delete a recording when it has finished playing?
I guess That the settings for the new option in Version: 6.1.4.230625 for Thumbnails and Timings are in the config file,

What are the options for these settings?
Basically I just want to turn them off so I suppose replace the true with false is probably the answer but I guess a few users would like to know all the alternative options.
