  Bug with deleting channels
Posted by: thegpfury - 2011-03-08, 01:45 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

Hi,

Not sure if this is the right place for this or not, but deleting a channel doesn't remove the associated recordings on the channel.

This causes quite a few issues, namely, if you readd the channel with the same name, but different mapping (like when TWC changes your mappings), it gives an exception error when you try to record a show that was set to record on the first mapping.

It seems to me that deleting a channel should remove the recordings as well.

NPVR 2.0.3: TV Guide Causing Unhandled Exception
Posted by: z06racer66 - 2011-03-08, 01:36 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (4)

I stumbled across an issue when I'm viewing a mounted image (.iso). If you bring up the TV Guide (F1) when the video is playing and then hit the escape key, npvr will cause an unhandled exception. I do not see this issue when viewing a .mpg or .mkv.

  Music player playlist behaviour
Posted by: NumberFive - 2011-03-07, 03:19 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (2)

Hi,

I wish there was a behaviour in the music player that when you select a track from the main menu that is already in the playlist, that rather than add the entire album to the playlist again it just skips to the selected track.

  Windows 7 64 Tuner card
Posted by: bradmarsh - 2011-03-07, 02:26 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (8)

Ok it is finally time to upgrade from GBPVR to NPVR
My AMD 3200 GBPVR machine just blew the drive controller and I cannot access my hard drives anymore. As it was running a PVR250 on XP. I believe I need to upgrade the card to work on my Windows 7 64 bit machine. (sadd day as the little 3200 ran for 5 or more years without a hicup just a new drive 2 years back>

So my question is what do you all recommend for a new card? I am still using the analog side as I don't have the digital box although I could get one I assume.
Thanks for any input.

  Cannot set channel changer exe
Posted by: SickBoy - 2011-03-07, 12:37 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (1)

Hi,

I'm not able to set up a channel changer executable for my HD-PVR (for firewire channel changing via timmoore firestb drivers). When I set up the executable with a path and arguments, the setting does not "stick" and is not there when I come back to the capture source.

2.0.3 Can't skip ahead after live TV has been paused for several minutes
Posted by: siliconaudio - 2011-03-07, 09:38 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - No Replies

I seem to have a problem with 2.0.3 which is new to this version. If I leave live TV paused for a few minutes, I then can't skip forward. When I hit the skip forward button, the time-line shows up at the bottom of the screen, but it doesn't actually move forward in time - playback just continues. I can however skip backwards with no problem. I have seen this a few times now and I think it might be related to how long live TV has been paused.

2.0.3 TV Guide not showing recordings
Posted by: Nistrod - 2011-03-07, 06:40 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (26)

This was a problem in previous versions, but its still in 2.0.3.
Programs are not showing up in red in the TV Guide, even when set to record. The timeline is marked, but not the shows themselves.

"The Zoo" on GEM is supposed to record, but does not show up

NPVR 2.1.5 - Survival Guide with current patches, getting started info.
Posted by: johnsonx42 - 2011-03-07, 06:10 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (49)

Current Patches for NPVR 2.1.5

Cumulative Patch, August 15: NPVR 2.1.5 Patches R2 - Fixed: http://forums.gbpvr.com/attachment.php?a...1313531213

The R2-Fixed patch archive should now be considered 2.1.5 FINAL. Repeated comments from sub over the past week indicate there will be no further patches for 2.1.5, and that a new release 2.2.x is imminent within a few weeks.

NOTE ABOUT R2-FIXED: The original version of the R2 patch errantly included a batch file named "RenameRecording.bat". This file is NOT part of the NPVR program, and further does not belong to me to distribute. Please remove it from your NPVR Program directory. If you are interested in the function of that file, see: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...atch-files. Also, neither the R1 or R2 patch included the latest version of the NScriptHelper.exe (update #13). It is now included. There are no other changes, so if you already installed R2 and are not making use of NScriptHelper.exe you do not need to install this version; however in any case please do remove the RenameRecording.bat file as it does not belong.

ALL NPVR USERS SHOULD INSTALL THE CUMULATIVE PATCH UPDATE REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU ARE EXPERIENCING THE IDENTIFIED ISSUES. These updated files represent the latest version of NPVR code, and may include other changes not documented. Other later patches or program updates you may find posted by sub may fail if all your NPVR program files are not up to date.

In particular, before posting any support request please install the current cumulative patch update and reproduce your problem.

1. minor change to Search screen skin: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post414035

Installation Notes These "patches" are simply replacement files for the existing NPVR program files. You should extract them and copy them over the existing files; the default directory is C:\Program Files\NPVR. If you are running Vista or 7 and have UAC enabled, you will likely need to do this from an elevated command prompt or explorer window. To get an elevated explorer window, go to All Programs->Accessories, right-click on Windows Explorer and select "Run as Administrator". Now, within that explorer window only, you are the Administrator.

Before installing patches, you must exit NextPVR.exe, shutdown the NPVR Recording Service and close the NPVR Tray Icon (using the "Stop NPVR Service" icon accomplishes both).

I recommend that you restart your system after installing patches. I've seen numerous cases where the Recording Service is not able to restart properly due to a socket error. You can check your NRecord.log to see whether it did or not, or just reboot to be safe.

NPVR 2.0.3 Upgrade Loses Custom Config.XML settings
Posted by: BrettB - 2011-03-07, 12:35 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (3)

I just noticed that after doing the upgrade to 2.0.3, some of my Config.XML settings were missing. I've specifically noticed:

<General>
<ComskipStartOffset>2000</ComskipStartOffset>
<ComskipEndOffset>0</ComskipEndOffset>
