  From GBPVR to NPVR
Posted by: Stargrove1 - 2011-01-20, 07:59 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (17)

I want to change from GBPVR to NPVR. I would like to avoid to add all the channels again and map them to certain channel numbers. Is there a way to export the channels from GBPVR and import them into NPVR?

And I recognized that the pictures I saved with the same name as a movie are no longer displayed in the video library. Is there another way, cause this feature was nice.

Again great work sub,

Long time gbpvr, new to npvr
Posted by: treads6464 - 2011-01-20, 04:57 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (30)

I have used gbpvr for years with no problems. Since I am stuck at home for a week due to surgery I decided it was now time to upgrade to NPVR.

I have run into a snag and could use some help.

Everything seemed to setup fine, I imported my recordings from gbpvr, loaded up the same xml driven guide, but then when I went to play the recordings or live tv, the screen goes black. I can back out of it but it just goes black and sits there indefinitely.

I tried playing video from my media library and that works fine, it just seems to be with live tv and recordings. I am not sure where npvr stores its logs or if I have to turn them on. Please let me know where I can find the logs to I can attach.

Thank you in advance.

On a side note, gbpvr has been in my house for years and has worked great. Thank you to the whole community for making this a great piece of software!

No audio for NPVR version 1.5.36
Posted by: dozer - 2011-01-20, 09:38 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (14)

Hi,

I've set up NPVR version 1.5.36 on vista 64 bit.
I'm using Hauppauge HVR-3000 (14xxx) (WinTV 88x DVB-T tuner/demod)
I can get a clear picture but i don't have any audio on any channel.

I'm based in Auckland, New Zealand.
I've installed Monogram AAC decoder on my pc and tried all the decoders and audio renderer options.
Even on tv3 i've tried both audio channels and neither of them work.

I do have powerCinema installed which works fine, excepts it takes ages loading up.

Any ideas
Thanks

  New recurring recording option
Posted by: agerdin - 2011-01-20, 08:44 AM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (29)

I would like to add a new alternative when setting up a recurring recording. The one I am missing is "Record this show any day on ALL channels".

I know now that with NPVR you are able to set up complex recording queries but I would really like to have the one above as a predefined option.

Thanks,

\\Agerdin

NPVR not letting my PC sleep
Posted by: h00ch - 2011-01-20, 03:19 AM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (50)

OK, this has een killing me and I'm really stuck now. With GBPVR, I had my computer set to go to sleep after 25 minutes and that was working fine. Now I've started using NPVR on the same computer (GBPVR has been uninstalled) but it will not go to sleep even with a 5 minute sleep time unless I exit the NPVR front-end program. With the NPVR record and other background processes running it sleeps fine, just not if the main NPVR front-end program is running. I've tried using the MCE Standby Tool program but I don't get many options in it since I'm running Windows XP Pro and not the Media Center Edition. Any ideas?

NEWA display sticking off to the side - found a bug
Posted by: skreien - 2011-01-20, 02:43 AM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (2)

Hey guys,

NEWA is acting really strange for me. I have two channels that I have setup for OTA scanning for program guide info, and the rest are setup for XMLTV. The two I have setup for OTA scanning are acting strangely. The first channel has shows that stick out beyond the time grid. The second is always missing the first show in the time grid. I've attached a screen capture of the first channel since I'm not explaining it very well.

  Missing recurring recordings
Posted by: mvallevand - 2011-01-19, 11:33 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (15)

UJB, I don't know if this is for you or sub, but I will start with you.

If I use Web Services to schedule a single recurring recording, the day of the week in GMT does not seem to match when the sweep for recordings. Am I doing something wrong>

  NPVR Windows Explorer Shortcuts
Posted by: NumberFive - 2011-01-19, 10:26 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (1)

One thing I really miss from GBPVR is the ability to browse Windows Explorer Shortcuts. I had created a folder called "Removable Storage" which contained shortcuts to USB sticks, DVD drives and network shares. Work excellently, and GBPVR would only show shortcuts that led somewhere (i.e. not to absent USB sticks, network devices or empty DVD drives).

Worked great, also allows some linking between artists in the music folders and relevent sections in the photo library.
