If possible, can the value of the EPG source mapping for XML files be displayed on the Settings > Channels screen? It appears that there would be room. It would be nice to see on the screen so you don't have to click on each channel in order to see what it is mapped to.
I've recently had a couple of recordings fail and it looks like some of my channels may have had frequency changes I wasn't aware of.
I have channels common to DVB-T and DVB-S merged so for example BBC One HD shows as 6 sources (4 being terrestrial an 2 being Freesat).
If I scan one of my terrestrial tuners, the list of channels it produces shows the frequencies but some of them are satellite frequencies and not the terrestrial ones I was expecting.
Also applying the filters selecting DVB-T doesn't seem to work.
Is there an easy way to work out which frequencies from a scan have changed compared to the ones in the current database?
If I tick an existing channel after a scan and save, will the database get updated with the frequency detected in the scan. If so, will that tuners channel still stay in the merge channel list?
Playing Live TV in NPVRClient.exe, NLITE or Kodi works fine but if I try Live TV in the NPVR Web client it starts to receive data then exits playback with a failure.
I'm not that familiar with FFMPEG so could do with some help understanding what's causing the error.
I've just moved this week - when I reconnected the computer and screen, I had trouble getting the cables right.
Now most shows aren't recording - I get [Failed: No errors, but no data delivered. This is usually because the device failed to lock a signal.] I've only moved 8-10 kilometres but just in case I rescanned for channels. I've always had 4 Hauppuage tuners, so could record 4 different frequencies at once. Last night one show recorded and the other two gave the above error message. I think 2 tuners have stopped working - they can't scan, though still hold the previous channels. So I've reordered the Devices page to give the two that are working priority.
But why didn't two shows record last night? I feel that the system is remembering which tuner it was to use and if it doesn't work the system simply fails. Is that possible?
Is there any way to tell if a tuner has failed? Or can you only assume no scan means it's dead. I understand the tuners aren't being made any more. Any suggestions?
Do I need to reinstall to get the programme to re-allocate tuners to jobs? (I really don't want to lose all the pending and recurring shows.
The other problem is that I can't get it to update the epg. The internet is definitely connected to the computer, I've streamed the missed shows. But might NewPVR not be getting the signal? How can I tell?

I installed nextpvr on my laptop using the nextpvr-helper.deb file on Linux Mint 22.2. From the setup screens I see the tuners (Hauppauge USB 1595 dual tuner) and successfully scan for channels. I can update the program guide using the DVB/ATSC EPG. I can record programs from that guide. I can view channels using the VLC Open Network Stream option.
What I can't get working is adding a schedules direct lineup. I have been using schedules direct for many years with a desktop system at home running mythtv.
Starting from the channel list setup screen I select one of the channels (wrench icon on the far right), which brings up edit channel details. I click on source then select ...add schedules direct lineup... which brings up a Add Schedules Direct Lineup window. I enter the zip code and leaving north america - united states set I click on search. The window then displays another listbox with the lineups that came back from schedules direct. I scroll to the bottom and select the one that is named "antenna ... OTA-zipcode" and click on add lineup.
At that point I get a popup error window saying
localhost:8866
Invalid Username or Password
OK
That's as far as I can ever get. A couple of times I have tried to select the lineup starting from the guide option instead of the channels option. Whatever goes on there apparently "spams" schedules direct and exceeds their maximum of 10 IP addresses within 24 hours rule.
Hi, I am a newbie to Linux. I tried installing nextpvr on Linux mint 22.3, it works fine if I turn off ufw. When ufw is on the tuners become unavailable. I use this tuner on Windows 10 with no issues. I can’t figure out what ports need to be opened on ufw to make the tuner available. The tuner is a hdhomerun connect duo. I have tried this by installing with the Deb files method and the Docker method. If I can’t get this straightened out by fall I will reluctantly buy a Windows 11 machine before my Windows 10 ESU are expired. I also have a hdhomerun dual tuner which I believe is considered legacy. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was able to setup NextPVR with the documentation provided.
My first recording was last night (when I was sleeping).
Obviously my PC went into sleepmode to save power.
I expected NextPVR to awaken my PC, but it did not.
How can I record without leaving my PC on full for the whole night?
Hi, I have been running npvr 4.2.5 for years. As I've just built a new PC (and probably need a new capture card, see post in hardware forum), thought I would update npvr to v7.0.5.
I could see the EPG, cool, but using arrow keys left, or down, after 3 or 4 clicks, the UI would freeze for a new seconds. Did this repeatedly and I thought maybe my lack of tuner devices is causing a problem.
So I thought I'd look at existing recordings (I've copied over my npvr.db3 from old setup) and the screen was empty, then threw an exception. I cleared it (I should've checked exception details, damn). Then I got another exception. looks like there are permissions problems... have I done something seriously wrong?
