After upgrading my Next PVR server to the latest, all downloads of VOD files has been incomplete. In some cases, file sizes are less than 200 MB. Please what do I need to do to correct these issues. Please see attached download files list.
Hoping someone might be able to help me with an issue I'm having with watching TV.
Everything was working great, but then I started to receive the following error "Streaming Failed (transcoder exited)"
Like I say everything was working fine regarding watching TV.
I was having a few issue updating the windows system so i decided to rebuild the computer and start again thinking that might fix both issues. However, it only fixed the updating issue and not the TV issue.
I will attach the logs.
If someone could point me in the right directions it would be greatly appreciated.
I have ripped all of my DVDs to my PVR then imported them into NextPVR. The program I used to rip the DVDs preserves the chapters from the DVD.
The chapters work just fine in the NextPVR app, however when trying too watch from a web browser, the chapters appear to be there but the video continues playing from as if the skip forward wasn't pressed.
Also in the Android App recorded programs will play just fine, however the videos from my DVDs will not. Both recorded and videos from DVDs both play in a web browser and in NextPVR just fine.
I am having a few problems with the remote functions either in NextPVR or the Flirc program itself as described below,
Play only works in NextPVR if the video is already paused, however play or pause will not pause the video. In Microsoft Movies and TV Play and Pause do the same thing, they will pause or play the video depending on its current status (I'd be ok with this). In VLC they both bring up the Simple Preferences menu. In Chrome they open the option to print
None of the other video control buttons (Record, Stop, Fast Forward, Rewind, Skip Forward or Skip Back) work at all, although Flirc acknowledges them being press (except Record, Please see #3)
Flirc will not acknowledge the record button being pressed at all. Flirc does not acknowledge Record, even when attempting to assign it to a button
The Skip Back(not Fast Forward) button seems to be linked to the channel up button and the Skip Forward button (not Fast Forward) seems to be linked to the channel down button. I tried linking them correctly using the Flirc app but it seems like Flirc thinks they are the same buttons even though they aren't.
The numbers work but will not change the channel. This maybe due to the issue there is no way to enter a '.' or '-' to get the sub channels
Is it possible to use my remote to open programs, IE is their a way I can configure my remote to open NextPVR and other programs.
If it matters in Flirc I am using the remote option for Microsoft WMC (Windows Media Center) is this the best option?
I really do not care if the buttons work in any program other then NextPVR and Chrome , although VLC would be nice
I have been getting partial recordings. I am thinking it is a failing tuner card (Hauppauge). There are 3 cards ... Quad, 2250, and 2255. Will the OID tell me which card is failing? I try to follow the "Devices and Channels" link but the website NextPVR takes me to will no accept my logon, the logon that I use here in the forum.
The Oscars started recording 7 minutes late on Sunday.
Same thing happened yesterday with FBI on CBS (KPIX). The recorded program was only 56 minutes, when it should have been a bit over an hour (I think 63 minutes, with a few minutes before/after).
Most shows record on time, though.
My PC is normally asleep and wakes up for recordings. The problem seems to be showing on the first recording of the day so far.
For example, FBI:International and FBI:Most wanted last night recorded in full, without starting late.
I have checked that my clock is properly synchronized. Not sure what is causing this.
I did upgrade my motherboard last week. However, I also upgraded NextPVR.
I have nPVR v5 installed on my Linux (version below) but it regularly fails to record preset recordings off my HDHOMERUN. I set up recordings from the same channel but one records and the other one fails. After I get the errors I cannot even view that same channel. Yet when I launch VLC and access the tuner I can immediately watch that channel.
I have looked and cannot find the answers I am looking for. I cannot get comskip to work when a recording is done. I have read the wiki and put the donators version of comskip and associated files in the script folder with the existing post processing batch file. I am using windows 10. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
