When I use the “nexttool.exe --debug \\NUS2000\Media2\RECORDINGS” command line the command trace references xml documents with unexpected content. For example:

The NextTool.txt that is generated shows the exact same information.  How can I determine what xml document haqs the unexpected content?

This install will not work, the client will say you need to upgrade to version 5.x. (I assume backend nextpvr), that was done. Nextpvr client tells me I need to upgrade. The latest version 20.1 kodi for Firetv will not work.
I have backtracked to backend Windows nextpvr 5.00 and firetv kodi version 19.5.   The kodi firetv shows a message that there's a compatibility problem when the Kodi 19.5 starts that I need to upgrade to nextpvr 5.03.
Are these bug problems that no one else experiences?
I only use Kodi for my recorded OTA programs.  I use Hauppauge WinTv-7164 BDA ATSC/Qam tuner 0 and 1.

I am only able to use nextpvr 5.00 and kodi android (firetv) versions 19.5.  
Will there be a fix?

Hi.  Last little while people have been leaving Nextpvr playing live tv and then go AFK (away from keyboard) for the rest of the day.  This of course leaves Next pvr playing the live tv for an amount of time that I cant determine.. but seems to eventually, overnight, stop playing.  This of course prevents the computer from sleeping all that time until it finally stops.

Is there a variable in the advanced file that can automatically stop Live TV after a number hours which I can set?  I was thinking 3 hours would be enough unless someone touches the keyboard.

I looked through the documentation online but nothing jumps out at me so far.

I tried to install nextpvr as a docker image on a synology.
I have an IPTV tuner configured and working.

On my Kodi media center, I installed the nextpvr addon and configured it.
I can see the TV with Kodi on nextpvr.

However, I have an unpleasant problem: when I am watching TV, about every 30 seconds the program rewinds.

Can anyone help me?
Any particular configuration on nextpvr? On Kodi?

I have a Windows 7 PC with Windows Media Center but is rarely used. Once in a while I’ll program a manual recording.

I was just looking on Titan TV & noticed it has a record function that works with PVRs. Unfortunately not with WMC but it said it does work with NextPVR.

I went to Download NextPVR and clicked on the Windows option which brought me to a thread about installing. Is there a file to download first, or does the setup take care of that?

While looking into NextPVR I did see a file (NextPVR 6.1.1.221106) to download which was on another forum. Do I download the file or run the setup?

Is the current version of NextPVR compatible with my old Windows 7 PC or do I need to get an older version of NextPVR?

I think way back in MCE there was a function that allowed you to segment the guide in to genres e.g film, television, music news etc

I happy to announce the beta release of a new Windows client for the NextPVR backend.  For more information please checkout the test wiki  https://github.com/emveepee/Testing/wiki/yauiclient

Given that there over a dozen clients for NextPVR you may wonder why this is necessary.  For many of you it isn't and for Windows you should stick with NextPVR.exe or NLite if they work with for you.  Where most clients are most lacking is Windows support for AC-4 audio from ATSC 3.0 available from the Flex 4K

Additionally the new client uses libmpv which provides opportunity to provide support for new media types and features not in other client.  The one that I find most interesting right now is multi session support as explained on the wiki.  If you want the sports bar feel or like watching multiple video streams together it can be fun.  I find it better than PIP especially on the big screen

If there is enough interest I can also expend on the media types available in the Video Library.

The utility HDHRGuide is designed to create an XMLTV file from the data provided by Silicondust for HDHR users.  Silicondust DVR subscribers will get 2 weeks of rich metadata, without a subscription the data is only 24 hours and there is a little less data..

With the price increase of Schedules Direct the cost of the Silicondust DVR subscription matches the $35 year price.  This is especially significant for Flex 4K owners with ATSC 3 signals since major networks in some cities are now beginning to enable DRM.  Sadly for many, these stations will only playback using the HDHR app after Silicondust enables decryption, and they aren't quite there yet.   ATSC 3.0 broadcasts also typically require the HDHR app for playback because of AC-4 audio, but I will be releasing a Windows client for NextPVR that does AC-4 decoding later this weekend. 

Notes:  

- HDHRGuide is not a standalone utility, NextPVR must be installed.  
- It is supposed to work for all countries that Silicondust supports however I have only tested it for Canada, US and UK.  If it doesn't work in your country let me know.
- the DVR based guide uses the same ID as Schedules Direct so duplicates will not be recording.  The 24 hr guides uses a different ID for series, movies are the same.
- 32bit Windows is not currently supported

To install on Windows

1. Download and unzip  HDHRGuide-Win in C:\Program Files\NextPVR

2. Remove the HDHRGuide.runtimeconfig.json

3. Add the following to C:\Users\Public\NPVR-data\scripts\UpdateEPG.bat  Create the file if it is not there.

Hello.  Not sure if this is a question or a bug report.

I use Schedules Direct for my EPG on the latest windows server (6.1.1.221106) although this has been happening since I subscribed to Schedules Direct about 6 months ago.

I have the EPG update at 6:05 every morning, using the setting for that on the Guide settings page.  It always gets a full two weeks of EPG from Schedules Direct when that happens.

Since I record a lot of TV, I regularly encounter scheduling conflicts which I resolve by adjusting priorities on the recurring recordings page in the UI client.  After doing that, I usually click on the "Update EPG" button on the main settings page (in the web client) so that the schedule is updated to reflect the new priorities.  However, when I do that, I only get one week of EPG from Schedules Direct.

If I adjust the daily automatic update time to a couple of minutes in the future, the automatic EPG update will again retrieve a full two weeks of EPG from Schedules Direct.

Obviously, there is a difference if behaviour between daily EPG automatic update and a manual EPG update triggered by clicking the "Update EPG" button.

The thing is that when I've adjusted scheduling priorities, I don't even necessarily need/want to get new EPG data -- I just want the schedule to be updated to reflect the new scheduling priorities.  Currently, it appears that the only to do that in the UI is with the "Update EPG" button -- but then I lose a week of EPG data.  I can fix this by playing with the daily EPG update time and then put back to 6:05 after completion -- but this is not particularly intuitive.

So my question is:  Is the behaviour of the "Update EPG" button really supposed to be different from the daily automatic update?  I get that this behaviour could be different on purpose for a reason that I'm not aware of -- or maybe it's a bug.

If the different behaviour is on purpose, then I would suggest that the addition of an "Update Schedule" button on the main settings page would allow the schedule to be updated to reflect new scheduling rules/priorities without updating the EPG data and this would avoid the loss of a week's worth of EPG data.
