My EPG update last night resulted in no pending recordings at all. Everything else looks ok, it just found nothing to record after updating the EPG; the TV Guide was fully populated. I then forced an EPG update from Settings, and then all my pending recordings came back.
The possible bit of good news is that it did reload the recording schedule after the EPG update, which was the missing bit before, but it just had nothing to reload.
The NRECORD and NPVR logs are attached. The sequence is that the epg update went at 3:00am, and to me everything looks ok. It then reloaded the recording schedule at 3:01:17:

But the only recording left in the schedule now is the one that's already in progress... the rest are gone.
Then this morning at 9:34am when I looked at it I decided to try my old trick of deleteing a recording to 'kick' the recording service and force a reload. It dutifully did reload the schedule again, but now there's nothing at all to reload.
So then I ran the EPG update from Settings at 9:39am, and now it finally repopulated the pending recordings and properly reloaded the recording schedule.
I've searched but am unable to spot the channel changer setting in the xml files.
I am trying to setup my STB and FM. The changer exe is pulling into the FM device settings when it's not needed. I am unable to use the delete button or the backspace to clear this.
So this is my first go at a media center. I haven't got all the lingo down but i am computer hardware savvy so i thought id give this a try. Here is the issue i am having:
I recently installed a new build with a Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1600 ATSC/ClearQAM/NTSC TV Tuner. I currently have WOW digital cable with a box. I ran the coax cable to one of the tuners that are on that card and ran through the initial setup guide for DVB . Once i setup that i scan channels and nothing is found.
I know this is probably a trivial problem but like i said i am new to the whole cable through the computer concept. Thanks for your help
When I try to launch live TV in npvr I see error "Cannot connect to the recording service". The device status icon in the right corner is black (Should it be green as in gbprv?) and I cannot see anything in the status window. Npvr recognises my dvb-c card Terratec Cinergy C and I find all the channels just fine.
The error in the log files when I try to launch live TV is "connection cannot be established because target machine does not allow it ::1:8968". Is this a tcp port since I have opened it in windows firewall but it won't help.
I am running Windows Vista and NPVR 1.5.24

When I try to start live tv from the TV Guide, it hangs for awhile, then I hear sound but get a .net exception on the screen. After closing the .net exception, the sound continues for a few more moments, then ends.

This is a minor bug I reported two releases ago, but didn't make a big point of as I figured it was on your to-do list; as it's still not fixed I guess it's fallen off the radar:
When sorting the Ready recording list by Date Descending, the groups are properly sorted by the latest recording in the group (ie, the group with the newest recording is listed on top, as expected). However, for each group it lists "Latest Recording:" yet displays the date of the earliest recording in each group instead.
Also, the Date Ascending sort in the Ready screen is a little screwy, but I'm not 100% certain what to say should be different about it. It sorts by the earliest recording in each group, but for each group it lists the Latest Recording... so the list really doesn't look sorted, since the dates aren't in order. If it sorts by the earliest recording, so that the group on top is the one with the oldest recording, then I guess it should also display the earliest recording for each group instead of the latest? Or should it sort by the latest recording, so that the group on top is the one that hasn't had a new recording for the longest time? In the latter case then displaying the Latest Recording date would make sense.
Anyhow, the Date Descending issue is the bug I'm reporting, since it doesn't display the correct data.
How do you make themes stick? I choose a theme and submit it, it changes, then I log out and close my web browser. When I re open the EWA, its back to the default theme
