I upgraded to 1.5.24. Now I get no display whatsoever.
I'm on Windows 7 (x32). If I hover over the taskbar icon, I see a thumbnail of a valid screen, but I cant get it to actually open.
If I uninstall/re-install, no change.
If I uninstall and re-install 1.5.21, I get the same problem.
An active Netflix Account with WatchInstant capability (For playing movies only. All other features can be tested without an account.)
Known issues:
Plugin: Episode titles are not in the correct order.
Plugin: Skins need some work.
Player: Trick play commands can be unreliable. Trick play (ff/rew/pause) should not be attempted until at least 30-60 seconds after the video starts playing.
Player: Trickplay does not work in True Fullscreen mode.
Player: CTRL-P does not seem to work in True Fullscreen mode and Enter/OK should be used for Play/Pause.
Installation:
Unzip the files to the appropriate locations.
Add the following to config.xml in the <MenuLayout> section:
Code:
<MenuItem enabled="true">Netflix</MenuItem>
Run StreamIt.Netflix.Updater.exe located in the "[NPVR Program Folder]\Plugins\StreamIt" folder.
By default, it will download all titles and the posters and update "C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Plugins\StreamIt\Netflix.db3" database and save the posters to "C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Media\Netflix\BoxArt".
If your data folder is in another directory, you will need to override the defaults.
Override Options for the updater (not required):
"datadir=" will save the boxart and database to the directory specified. This should be set to the NPVR main data folder. The subfolder will automatically be appended. ("datadir=C:\Users\Public\NPVR")
"limit=" will limit the number of titles if you want a quick result. 500 titles are downloaded at a time so if you only want the first 500, set the limit to 499. ("limit=499")
Once you have updated the database, Run NPVR, select "Netflix" from the NPVR menu (it may take a few seconds for the list to populate and the screen to show).
CTRL-S (Stop button) will change the sort order.
CTRL-B (Blue button) will switch between List and Covers View.
Selecting a collection will display the sub items. Selecting an item will launch the player and play the title.
Player commands:
Enter/OK and CTRL-P (Play button) will operate as Play/Pause. (CTRL-P does not seem to work in True Fullscreen mode and Enter/OK should be used.) CTRL-Right arrow will fastforward the video. CTRL-Left arrow will rewind the video. Right/Left arrows will step through the video. Select enter to start watching at the selected point. F7 will cycle through view modes (Windowed, Psuedo fullscreen, True fullscreen).
The player's size (in windowed mode) and the player's last view mode will be remembered. However, if the last view mode was True Fullscreen, the player will start the next time in Psuedo Fullscreen.
A very minor bug, but if I schedule a recording from the guide as a quick record, then try to update it to change the recording type, (like Season record) it is stuck on "record once". The arrows on my keyboard or the remote won't work. It does let me pick a recording type if I choose record.
Also odd is if you choose "season record" and then go to update it, the update menu shows it set to "record once" and does not let you change it.
I just installed npvr 1.5.24
I have a Hauppauge 150mce with a STB connected at s-video. When I try to watch tv I get the error Unable to located Capture filter's 'Analog Video In' pin
Since upgrading from .21 to .24 of nPVR (upgrade / uninstall/install / w/wo reboot) i have no sound anymore on my recordings.
Before it was like this:
LiveTV had audio only if i choosed Microsoft Audio Decoder, no other Decoder produced audio.
Recordings had only audio with the Power DVD 7.3 Decoder, no audio with the Microsoft Audio Decoder.
ATM i have only audio on LiveTV with the Microsoft Audio Decoder, but no audio from the recordings, regardless which decoder i choose (of course i tried restart nPVR / Recording Service after decoderchange).
My logfiles are attached, perhaps you can find something.
PS: No problem with GB-PVR, this one works perfectly.
Have finally installed and configured EWA, correctly I think. When I play recorded shows or stream channels from an analog tuner (STB on svideo) everything works fine, but when I try to stream ATSC HD channels I get video but no audio. In the VLC window, I can click on "Video" and see all of the settings but when I click on "Audio" everything is greyed out telling me (I think) that no audio stream is being sent.
I've tried different configurations in the streaming "Transcode Opt" area, but am not getting anywhere. Any ideas where I should look next? Thanks. BTW, this is still only on a LAN not over the net.
In the Pending Recordings screen, I don't see any way to delete a scheduled recording, which was possible with GB-PVR. I hope that will be added eventually.
A couple of questions/suggestions about the channel list:
- Is it possible to split Digital Radio channels away from Digital TV channels? That is, have a Live TV and a Live Radio entry on the main menu. Live TV works as it does now and Live Radio would have some on-screen visualisation to accompany the audio and create some sort of visual interest and avoid screen burn.
- Is it possible to change the listing order of the channels without renumbering them?
- Is it possible to nominate channels in the scanned channel list to be "favourites" or else nominate other channels to be hidden?
When looking at the EPG or scrolling through the channels with CH+ and CH- I would like the channels grouped in a more logical order that does not match the numerical order. In Melbourne Australia we have the following list of LCNs available: 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 11, 12, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 38, 39, 40, 44, 70, 71, 72, 73, 90, 99, 200, 201.
LCNs 38, 39, 200 and 201 are digital radio channels. I feel these should be available in a separate area. The order of the LCNs should be able to be specified. As mentioned above a screen visualisation can be applied to provide eye candy to support them. The eye candy could be some sort of animated/graphical screen saver, some sort of video loop like fireworks, aquarium, fire place etc, or even a slide show of photographs. I hope you get the idea.
The other LCNs I would like grouped as 2, 22, 23, 24, 20, 7, 72, 70, 9, 99, 90, 10, 12, 1, 3, 32, 30, 44, 40. You will note that some numbers are missing. Some LCNs are defined but simply copies of other streams. I would like to keep them in the channel list so I can directly select them by entering their LCN number but when using CH+ or CH- the channels should be selected, in sequence, as per the grouped list above.
In N-PVR 1.5.24 is it possible to define the display format for the date and time? Basically, is there a list of time and date formats for the various time and date strings used through the UI?
I would like times displayed in 24 hour format. For example, 04:30 or 21:45. I would like the long date displayed in ddd d mmmm yyyy format and short dates displayed in ddd d-mmm-yyyy format. For example, long date Fri 9 July 2010 and short date Fri 9-Jul-2010.
I tried modifying the Windows display formats in the Control Panel but they don't appear to apply to N-PVR.
I have only four channels mapped from my HDHomeRun, but they show up twice (in sequence) in the TV Guide (i.e., 1, 2, 3, 4 and 1, 2, 3, 4). Maybe this is just to fill up the space, but it seems more likely that it is showing the channels for each of the two tuners separately.
At any rate, I have both tuners connected to the same cable and so the shows are identical. I would prefer that they show up only once in the TV Guide, and blanks for the unused spaces, as it was with GB-PVR. Is this possible?
