Memory leak? Out of memory exception error
Posted by: BigMoose - 2010-07-09, 10:06 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (33)

I decided to give nPVR a go for the evening viewing with the wife instead of GBPVR, with the Wave skin - which is really nice! So it's the first time I've had it running for over 2 hours, but it threw an "out of memory" exception - although the channel was still showing in the background. I had a look in the task manager and the npvr.exe process was running at 570Mb which I thought was rather high. I copied the exception log text but not sure it's any use...

Guide update registers multiple conflicting programs
Posted by: keith_leitch - 2010-07-09, 09:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

When there are last-minute changes to the program listings (which, in this part of the world, is frequent), my guide update registers both the original program times and the new program times. This has the effect of "doubling up" programs, both of which often record. Less frequently, it also has the effect of registering an incorrect program along with the more recent, correct one.

I was dealing with this by emptying the EPG before every update. However, this had the effect of losing my recurring recordings, as described here:

http://forums.gbpvr.com//showthread.php?...ngs-vanish

Does anyone know how to keep the older, outdated guide listings from appearing in the guide, and/or to prevent them from recording?

  Import season recordings?
Posted by: leaded1 - 2010-07-09, 09:24 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (7)

Is there any way to import Season Recordings from GBPVR into NPVR? Importing recordings_dump.xml excludes the season recordings from what I've seen.
Thanks,
leaded

  Error 88760868
Posted by: bezza - 2010-07-09, 07:48 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Hi,

I have a primary GBPVR server and a slave.

The slave can successfully:

Play music from the server
Play video from the server
Can see the tv guide.

When I select a program to watch from the tv guide; the tv show runs for approx 10 seconds and then returns to the tv guide.

I have found on the slave in a log file the following error:

2010-07-09 19:42:25.933 VERBOSE m_pD3DDev->Present() failed
Error code : 88760868
D3DERR_DEVICELOST
Device lost

Any advice appreciated.

Scanning DVB-T with HW-CAM crashes on XP
Posted by: Reddwarf - 2010-07-09, 03:27 PM - Forum: Legacy (v4.x and earlier) - Replies (11)

I was installing XP for some other test reason, and while at it I tried to install NPVR on XP. It has been bothering me for some time that my Technotrend T1500 with HW-cam don't decrypt anymore (the native app works fine on both FTA and encrypted channels). Trying to scan for channels hangs NextPVR, and if I push Cancel or OK the attached exception occurs. Log saying "Object reference not set to an instance of an object".

  Network configuration question
Posted by: scb147 - 2010-07-09, 02:52 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (7)

I recently bought a Gigabit switch to hook up my home PCs with, this includes my HTPC. So I have the switch connected to my router, which is connected to my DSL modem.

My problem is now that I've done this, I cannot get any ports opened up to a PC connected to the switch, so I can't get port 7647 opened to my HTPC for EWA. My router does static IP addresses for the PCs attached to it, and this includes the PCs connected via the switch.

I've attached a diagram of my network. My router is a Trendnet TEW-432BRP, and my switch is a Trendnet TEG-S80G.

If anyone has any ideas on what I can do, please let me know.

Thanks!
