  Aspect Ratio Of GBPVR Window
Posted by: skycyclepilot - 2010-06-05, 03:17 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

Since many shows are still broadcast in 4:3, it would be nice if the GBPVR window itself could be switched between 16:9 and 4:3. This could be implemented as part of the F7 function. When you press F7, and select "PillarBox", the window should change to 4:3, and when you select "Remove Letterbox", the window should be 16:9.

GBPVR is the best, and I've tried them all.

  xmltv doesn't import all the channel information in xmltv file
Posted by: vokuit00 - 2010-06-05, 05:36 AM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (2)

Hi,

when i import the xmltv file not all of the channels are imported.

I use the tv2xml to generate a tvdata.xml file from clickfinder. i see all the channel informations inside the xml file, but not inside of PVRX2.

I don't know how the import works, but as example i have a channel named zdf_neo in gbpvr. Inside the xml file there are two sections:

<channel id="ZDFneo">
<display-name lang="de">zdf_neo</display-name>
<icon src ="C:\Programme\TV Movie\TV Movie ClickFinder\gifs\tvmovie_sender32x32_zdfneo.gif"/>
</channel>

and the section with the movie informations as example:

<programme start="20100607210000 +0200" stop="20100607223000 +0200" channel="ZDFneo">
<title lang="de">Inspector Lynley</title>
<sub-title lang="de">Die keinen Frieden haben</sub-title>
<desc lang="de">Nach Motiven von Elizabeth George</desc>
<category lang="de">Krimireihe</category>
<video>
<present>yes</present>
</video>
<audio>
<present>yes</present>
<stereo></stereo>
</audio>
</programme>

But the movie information wasn't shown in PVRX2.

What must i do?

Thanks

Volker

  Capture card and remote
Posted by: waxlrose - 2010-06-04, 11:04 PM - Forum: Hardware - No Replies

So I'm thinking of setting up a DVR to have on my main TV. It will run all the time, pause live TV, record shows, all that kind of stuff.

I have a slim line case so I was thinking of getting a WinTV-PVR-150 MCE l.p. Will this work well for what I'm doing?

Second question is for the remote. Do I need hauppauge remote(does the 150 low profile even have the IR hookup)? Or can I get any kind of remote? Like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/Remote-Control-Wirel...20b126329b

Thanks.

  Can Only Record Using "Full TS"
Posted by: aritafari - 2010-06-04, 09:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

For months I recorded successfully using "TS Mux" but lately recordings in this mode generate two zero byte files. I switched to "Microsoft DVR-MS" this too did not work (generates two 6kb files).

The only mode that works is "Full TS".
The only downside is that it does not playback in GBPVR (& the huge file size).
I can use VLC for playback though.

I really would like to go back to TS Mux.
Any thoughts?

  Freesat - STV HD
Posted by: imilne - 2010-06-04, 05:57 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

Thought I'd post this for others in Scotland (or others interested in getting another HD channel that shows the occasional film not on ITV1 HD)...

T:10936,V,22000,0~TSID:2056~P:3855~V:512~VTYPE:H264~A:640~PMT:261~E:T~PCR:512~N:>STV HD

Note that the channel hasn't officially launched yet, and might not launch on Freesat properly either, although looking at the broadcast EPG data stream there *is* a placeholder in there for it, although there's no programme data for it (yet). I've just pointed it at the normal STV listings for now.

My understanding of it (from reading other forums) is that all local content or regional news will be for the Central region rather than STV North, which is what I normally receive here in Dundee.

The scan info came from DVBDream, but I had to add the ~VTYPE:H264 bit manually before the picture would appear in gbpvr. First time I've done this, so hopefully I've done it correctly.

  Windows Vista Hang if "No Name" Filter deleted using Filmerit
Posted by: jksmurf - 2010-06-04, 03:01 PM - Forum: General Discussion - Replies (2)

This is a repeatable crash, that only system restore can recover, but why would deleting a no name, "no obvious path to a file" filter cause such a horrible crash?

  Kaiser Baas Dual PCTV Card
Posted by: mobi323 - 2010-06-04, 02:14 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I have recently purchased the above item.
It works perfectly, however I have a few problems. They didn't give me any Operating manual. Or rather the user manual they have given me only covers fitting and setting up the card.
My main problem is that if I set the programme for a scheduled recording I can have the programme shut down but when the thing starts to record it starts up the programme. This is ok during the day or when I am not using the computer to play a DVD etc. It is also inconvenient in the middle of the night.
Where can I get a manual? The on line manual in the help file does not cover operation of the programme.

  I have lost aspect ratio with EVR
Posted by: bethanyrayne - 2010-06-04, 01:56 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Nova-T 500
Windows 7

I have always used EVR renderer with Win 7 on my 23" wide screen monitor and it worked fine until a few days ago.
Without any changes on my part the picture no longer fills the screen but if I change to VRM9 it does.

Anyone know why?

  Using GB-PVR with digital TV-Card and CI-Module
Posted by: Ijaja - 2010-06-04, 01:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (15)

Hello,

i have just the question, mentioned in title. Is it possible? Do i have to configure anything on software side?
From what i understood now, the hardware set is just, that i have a CI-Slot, connected to
the digital TV-Card, in the slot plugged a CA-Module (Alphacrypt...?!) and there the smartcard
of my tv provider.

Would that be a possible way?

Greets, Ijaja

  Pinnancle 80e ClearQAM Help
Posted by: brainard92 - 2010-06-04, 02:19 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I've seen some similar threads to this, but I can't quite use them to solve this problem. My Pinnacle 80e (mini HD PCTV Usb) device works fine with the company's TVCenter Pro software, picking up channels with either a ATSC antenna or ClearQAM coaxial attatched, but I cannot get GB-PVR to use the device to search for the ClearQAM signal. Again, GB-PVR will work and will search for channels when the PCTV is attached to the ATSC antenna, but will not give me the option to search for ClearQAM cable channels even if a coaxial cable is hooked into the device. My operating system is Windows 7 64bit. My thought is I need to make a change to the driver or registry (but definitely need some guidance in doing so), especially considering I have the exact same problem when I try to use the device with HP MediaSmart Live TV. ANY tips or suggestions would be extremely helpful. Feel free to ask any info from me, or if I need to try and further clarify the problem I am having. Thanks in advance.
