How to roll back from 1.4.7 to 1.2.13?
Posted by: navyblue - 2010-06-09, 08:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I've looked all over the site and cannot find an answer to this question. Currently I am running Windows 7 64bit Professional with GBPVR v1.4.7 along with MediaMVP as the front-end.

Given my version of OS, is a downgrade to 1.2.13 possible?

And if so what would be the best way to go about doing this?

Can't schedule via Web on HD channels
Posted by: drbenjamin - 2010-06-09, 03:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

All

After a long spell of trouble free operation, I've run into a problem. I use the Web server for all my scheduling, and recently I am unable to schedule recordings on my HD device (HD-PVR). My 2 SD devices are fine. I am attaching logs, but as far as I can see no files were updated when I tried to schedule a recording (8:00 AM). The system log doesn't seem to have any entries either. THe symptom is that I click on an HD show, click "Record this episode" and immediately the screen refreshes with a red "Recording Failed" box at the top. I rebooted w/ no change. ANy suggestions on how to troubleshoot this are appreciated!

  No sound with TS Mux
Posted by: desmo - 2010-06-09, 07:49 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (25)

Hi, I'm using 1.4.7 on XP with a Digital Now Tiny Twin DVB-T. It's been working flawlessly for some time using DVR-MS, however I recently purchased a PCH A110 so have been experimenting with various MPEG2 MUX's as the PCH does not support DVR-MS.

I have 2 main issues:

1. Have never been able to get sound using TS Mux. Following some info in another post I installed the Monogram AAC decoder and configured it under HE-AAC, but to no avail. I have attached logs which may help diagnose the problem.

2. All the MPEG2 MUX's I have tried have had problems which include:
- skipping during playback from 2 seconds to 2 minutes
- playback aborting and returning to the previous screen
I suspect I have a dodgy signal quality, which may be partly explained by the two 4-way splitters in use between the aerial and PVR. One of the splitters is powered so should result in no signal loss, but the other is a cheap non-powered unit. Could this be causing signal disruption which results in the skipping?

Thanks for any help.
Darren

  help me setup a system?
Posted by: jwester34 - 2010-06-08, 08:22 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (7)

hey all, I am new and would like to get your help/advice on getting a system put together. I have a nice intec case and a 500 gig seagate sata drive on a ASUS P5N-D LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 750i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard MB with core2 e6750 2.66 cpu running 4 gig ram
i have a geforce 8800 vid card on there now, but it's not the best.
removing the video card, and keeping the rest of the components (mb + ram +cpu+ HD+case) what else should I get for hardware to put together a media pc? I want to watch downloaded movies, and hook in my cable tv to both record and watch live tv through it. I also have a blueray internal player for the pc.
what do i need for capture card, and video card? I was going with onboard 5.1 sound... should I get a sound card too? need recommendations here. I can get any OS via my msdn license... what should I use?
the follow up to this will be software, but I want to use gbpvr... it looks very nice.
thanks in advance for your help.

  Problem streaming HD channels
Posted by: jepperc - 2010-06-08, 03:04 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (3)

Hi. I am having trouble streaming some of my HD dvb-c channels. SD channels work fine. Using standard TS MUX.

The client vlc says it cant recognize the format of the stream. Even if I record something, and try to stream it manually it doesnt work ( I have tried a million settings ). Some channels only work sometimes (like when nothing or a still image is broadcasted), which lead me thinking that it might be because the subtitles are also recorded?
The recorded files of these channels sometimes say 100fps in vlc, which I think is weird. Maybe it's vlc (i tried a lot of versions)?

What logs can I provide for you to help me?

  Net Radio problem
Posted by: dspdrew - 2010-06-08, 05:47 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Everything of mine has been working the same for months now, untill all of a sudden when I click on "Web" in Net Radio, and then select the genre I want to listen to, I get nothing but "No favourites have been added". I did not click on "Favourites". I have not made one single change to anything on this, not even to the OS.
