  Couple of UI tweaks.
Posted by: rookie - 2010-02-15, 10:59 PM - Forum: Wishlist - Replies (3)

I like the "Find All" selection when looking for sports that I want to record. It would be nice if the pop up would mark the ones already marked for record in red like the shows already marked for record in the TV Guide.

Could mouse navigation be added to the TV Guide? The scroll wheel works while for up and down. I can't find a way to navigate left/right without the keyboard.

Thanks for a great PVR!

  Win-tv CI and win 7 64 bit
Posted by: OscarL - 2010-02-15, 09:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Have just made a new install with 64 bit win 7. Had some problem to get win-tv CI to work until I put the hcwWinTVCI.dll in the directory C:\Program Files\Devnz even though gbpvr was installed in C:\Program files (x86)\devnz. Seems like the path to search for the dll is hardcoded independent of where gbpvr is installed.
Have not seen this reported elsewhere so I just wanted to make you aware of this.

Regards
Oscar

Green Lines in some converted videos
Posted by: wildatom - 2010-02-15, 07:41 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

What causes this? I see it on .mp4's that were created from DVD's. If I install SAF400's codec's it's fixed, but his codec package causes a load of other issues. My system is winxp, latest gb-pvr, klite-codec - latest, ATI 1200, also tried other video cards which have no effect. These videos work fine in media player classic, and other players on this machine, just gbpvr.

  SchedulesDirect -- 5-day EPG limit
Posted by: kimnach - 2010-02-15, 04:23 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Oddly enough, this started yesterday. No changes have been made to the system, and my SD account is active through March '10.

My 8-year old wanted me to record the All-star game yesterday because he said that there was something wrong with the box (MVP). I saw that the V guide was empty. I went downstairs to the HTPC and attempted to update the EPG and it failed with a parsing error (see attached). I deleted the gbpvr.db3 and re-configured the tuners (PVR500). Again, the error.

I discovered that I can successfully update the EPG with a maximum of 5days only. Anything more yields the error.

Why?

Avermedia M150-D Delay/Lag on Start of Recording
Posted by: uniontown - 2010-02-15, 03:56 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (9)

I am a long time user of GBPVR and think it is an excellent program. Over the years I have run the following cards in the program, Emuzed Maui I(HP), Emuzed Maui III(G), Hauppauge PVR-150, Hauppauge HVR-1250, Hauppauge HVR-850, Avermedia Volar Max, and have never had any trouble setting them up and using them. My problem is with a reently acquired Avermedia M150-D that works fine when viewing live TV, but does not record correctly. If viewing live tv and pausing it, the program stops functioning for approximately 3 & 1/2 to 4 & 1/2 minutes, and then commences to start to record. The same is true if one manually schedules a recording of a program. GBPVR will start on time but the actual recording service will not start (and the icon will not turn green indiating that it is recording) for approximately 4 minutes. In looking at a salient log of a test recording I made a few days ago in the XW4100 the following appears:

Once the recording starts it is fine. I have tried the card in two machines. Originally a hp XW4100, p4 2.8HT, with a ATI 9550 256mb video card running GBPVR 1.4.7, and later in a HP DX5150, AMD x2, 4400+, ATI HD4350 512mb video card, with the same version of GBPVR, with both machines running XP Pro SP3. Each machine has the latest video drivers and both are up to date with windowns updates.

I also hooked up a vcr to the card's s-video input to see if it was something to do with the tv tuner, set it up to run as a s-video device, and it exhibits the same behavior. The following is part of a log of a 2 hour recording using the s-video connection on the card:

I have tried three different sets of drivers for the card, v1.0.5.9. v1.0.5.12, and 1.0.6.14 [all of which appeared to work - other than the lag problem] and even the latest one [which did not work] from avermedia's website 2.1.0.41, with no difference.

Is there something that can be changed in the direct.ini file for this particular card that will get rid of the lag.

I have attached the filtercheck log and a set of logs right after finishing a 3 hour recording via the s-video input to the M150-D card (again there was a delay but after accounting for the delay, the recording was excellent)

The plugin works very nicely using google movies for New Zealand cinemas, but I find that I have never ever have gotten anything under synopsis. Is there something I'm missing/forgetting in the setup? Even when I've set the plugin to go to imdb for everything, I still don't get any synposis.

  Qam scanning problems with 1.4.7
Posted by: persim - 2010-02-15, 12:14 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I decided to upgrade to Win 7 this weekend and figured I would try out 1.4.7. Everything was a fresh install. I am having problems scanning channels with my Technisat AirStar-HD5000. This device worked perfectly with 1.3.11 and Vista but when I try to scan with 1.4.7, I get nothing. I thought maybe it was a Win 7 driver issue but when I uninstalled 1.4.7 and tried 1.3.11 on the new Win 7 machine, everything worked fine. It found all my clear qam channels without an issue. I have attached logs from right after the scan in 1.3.11 and right after the scan in 1.4.7. Any ideas what is going wrong?

Just checked my logs after another couple of empty files, only to find this message line in GBPVRRecording Service.exe.log:

Code:
2010-02-14 22:58:00.155 ERROR [5] Unexpected error checking tuning on back-to-back multirecords

What causes that?

PS: If some kind soul could edit the thread title to make me appear less illiterate and, more importantly, help with future searches, that would be nice...
