Hey Sub there have been some changes to all the SBS Australia URL's recently as they changed platforms to allow for ads on SBS (which has always been ad free)
The new URL's play fine in VLC but in NextPVR just continually play a ~5s loop of the segment.
When you enter Live TV while in Windowed mode. Now enter fullscreen. Note how such icons to control video are not sharp as they should be. https://github.com/sub3/NextPVR/wiki/pla...r-settings ..is primarily the same player in...
Now compare and start nPVR again:
This time nPVR will again start in windowed mode, but this time do not start Live TV. Instead, just enter fullscreen and enter Live TV(now icons are sharp)
It seems not related to specific GPU/driver or...(always redraw/vector)?
I just did a bare metal reinstall of NextPvr Windows, v 6.1.1. Previously I updated over older versions.
One thing I noticed is that guide in the NextPvr client (not the web page client) no longer has the buttons that appear under the grid: -24HRS, +24HRS, Page Down, Page Up.
I am trying to map schedules direct EPG to my IPTV channels. Using the auto map feature, only a handful of channels are mapped correctly. The IPTV channel names and the SD names don't exactly match. I have successfully manually adjusted a bunch of channels but it is tedious.
I am wondering if it might be faster to manipulate the data files in a text file or spreadsheet using search and replace rather than scrolling through the drop down menu.
I haven't found the files. I assume there are a number of files from SD and then a master channel file.
I use NextPVR 6.1.1 (221106) for Live TV on Emby (4.7.10.0) with the Next PVR Plugin (4.0.1.0) with a BGT3620 tuner card on Windows 11. I've been very happy with them as a replacement for my old Windows 8.1 Pro Media Center system. However, I sometimes record radio shows (Freeview UK) overnight and have found that they have stopped recording after 6 minutes (there's 5 minutes pre padding, so a minute past the start of the programme). Since I reported this to the Emby forum I've now realised that if I record several programmes overnight (earliest I've noticed is 11pm) it's only the first one that gets stopped early, and it seems that recordings made directly with NextPVR don't suffer from this issue at all. It's very reproducible on my system, the most recent being on 2022_12_16 at 23_00_00 (actually 5 minutes earlier, with the padding). My workaround is to record overnight programmes directly with NextPVR, so it's not too pressing an issue for me.
As it's reproducible, if there's any more information needed I should be able to gather it.
for some of my DVB-S2 channels NextPVR fails to obtain EPG information via DVB-S2. The EPG information for those particular channels is completely missing.
I know for a fact, that much more EPG information is available for those particular channels - my TV, my Blu-ray DVB-S2 Recorder are able to obtain the respective EPG information via DVB-S2 (they are not connected to the internet, so they cannot obtain this information from other sources). I can also exclude that fact, that something is off with the USB-TV tuner, that is directly connected to my NextPVR machine. If I use the software provided by the manufacturer of the tuner (Hauppauge WinTV10), I am also able to obtain all the EPG information (even when the respective machine is not connected to the internet).
So, I know for a fact, that there is EPG information that is transmitted via DVB-S2, that NextPVR does not pick up. That could be either due to a configuration error from my side or because there are some issues with NextPVR in this regard. Maybe you can help me? I attach the respective log files and the transport streams for the relevant channels.
Further information:
Operating System: Windows 10
NextPVR version: 6.1.1.221106
TV Tuner: Hauppauge WinTV-NOVA-S2 (DVB-S/DVB-S2)
Region: Italy
The following channels (of interest to me) appear affected (those are the ones I checked, there may be more):
1) NITRO (Freq: 12188/H/27500 SID: 12061 (MPEG-2)): no EPG at all (black screen?)
2) 3sat HD (Freq: 11347/V/22000 SID: 11150 (H.264)): no EPG at all (black screen?)
Funnily enough, the standard definition version of the channel 3sat does have EPG:
3sat (Freq: 11954/H/27500 SID: 28007 (MPEG-2)): EPG works (!)
As a workaround: Would it be possible to use the EPG for the SD version of channel 3sat for the HD version (they have the same program as far as I can tell, just different resolution).
(3sat HD file was too large for app.box free plan so I had to use WeTransfer instead)
P.S.: Note, that this issue is probably (?) separate from the issue I report elsewhere (https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?tid=64117 --> this still needs to be fixed), since this issue affects DVB-S2 channels on a different tuner (and not DVB-T2 channels).
P.P.S.: I would rather not want to use the alternative of having to rely on XLMTV or Schedules Direct, given that I know for a fact that DVB-S2 already offers the required EPG. Of course, those would be workarounds, but I would first like to figure out, what causes the abovementioned problems.
So, i'm having an issue with the nextpvr jellyfin plugin. The problem is the nextpvr jellyfin plugin assumes that i'm using localhost. I'm not, and my jellyfin server is on a different server than my nextpvr server. I put in the correct ip address and pin code for the jellyfin addon. The problem is that whenever i click play on a recording I get
"playback error" I found the root of the issue, which happens to be that it can't find the specified file.
The thing is my jellyfin server doesn't have a R:\ Drive but my nextpvr server does. I believe this would work if i ran everything on the same server. However, since I am not doing that, and am running jellyfin and nextpvr on separate servers, and there is no R:\ drive on the jellyfin server the "playback error" is displayed. Can this please be fixed?
Thanks.

Hi,
I just can't seem to get the channel logos to work. The location on the direction is related to Windows - so I thought I would double check that I am putting them in the correct place.
In my NVPR folder in my home directory - I have created a folder called Media - and then Channels inside that folder. I have copied all the logos into that folder. Is this correct?
I'm still using 4.2.6 and everything is working fine. Should I upgrade to 5 or 6? Can I install 5 as an update or do I have to uninstall 4 first and start over?
