I've set up EWA for the very first time (Build 82) and it's awesome! I wish I'd done it sooner and can't believe it's not used by more people.

Something a little odd though:

I have a hidden folder in my video library.
It doesn't show up in GBPVR, but it does show up in EWA.

More precisely:

- In GBPVR hidden folders are not displayed at all (so their contents are also unreachable)
- In EWA, hidden folders are shown
- Hidden video files are shown and can be streamed downloaded or played.
- Hidden image files are not displayed in EWA.

Seems like a minor bug?

I am trying to record HD programming. During live TV pause, etc. everything works fine and the files are saved as DVR-MS files. When I try to record HD programming using the "record" option on the PVRX2 the HD recordings are recorded in MPEG format and when I try to watch them it is nothing but a snowy picture with static for sound. I can watch the HD channels in LIVE TV without any problems.

I am running the latest version of GBPVR on Windows XP with an AverMedia M780 dual tuner card. In the Misc2 tab I have the BDA Multi-plexer set to Microsoft DVR-MS.

In my office, I have a TV that no longer gets cable. I do have a computer that is networked with a computer in another office that does have cable. I can view my computer on my TV. I want to have to ability to capture shows on the computer in the office with cable and watch them in my office. Can I do this with GB-PVR. (I think I can)I'm just looking for some advice.

I would like to set up my PVR like this:
Cable into VCR
RCA out of VCR to Canopus DV converter
Firewire out of Canopus to Computer

Will this work with gbpvr, and what are some tips or tricks that I should use.

Can someone please up for me a Scan~x.cache file from the astra 19,2 ?
Because my scan crashes all the time but i found a Scan~x.cache file in the forum and with it it works well but i missing some austrian channels

I reinstalled Medal Of Honor on last Sunday and that seemed to have FORCED an install of an older version of VC++ 2005 thus making the GBPVR service to crash on start up.
Since I've been very busy at work and even work all evening at home after work too, I haven't been able to check the recordings that I used to watch so it wasn't until today that I saw this problem.
After trying some things I just reinstalled the http://www.gbpvr.com/vcredist_x86.zip and during that install I saw that it said it was removing older version of it and after this, the GBPVR Service run smooth as a baby's butt again
So this may happen on anything you install...

I wonder why an older version got installed in the first place? It shouldn't be doing that now should it :p


I say this, just to let you know in case someone get's something like this...
just try to reinstall the http://www.gbpvr.com/vcredist_x86.zip and it may work

I get the message:
Missing DLL
Unable to locate DLL: vjslib.dll

It appears to happen when I try to load the movie 'G-Force.avi'.

Don't know if it's the file name, or how it tries to load the info for that movie.

Should there be anything Slimm GB-PVR related to stop a system from going into sleep mode? I've recently started having problems and some detective work shows two things as a possible culpit.........USB related and SlimmGBPVR. I've made no changes to my system but it was shortly after installing Slimm that I had this problem. I've not yet uninstalled to test for sure (but will) and wanted to know if anyone has had problems with using Slimm and putting the system to sleep. It was working perfectly for a very long time.

I am complete new to gbpvr
I use at the moment mediaportal for about 1 year now.

I came to gbpvr and has tested it yesterday and wow quick and perfect live tv.

I have two dvb-s tuners in my pc and one dvb-t stick

1x Technisat Skystar 2
1x Terratec Cinergy S PCI
1x AF9015 device

the af9015 and the technisat skystar runs ok but the cinergy will not be detected from gbpvr

Anyone have this card running ?

Hi,

I've imported my offline DVD collection using an import file (example below) with the "Add Offline Content" button.

However, it does not automatically fetch any thumbnails. I can fetch
them one by one but what I'd like is an automatic fetch for all titles.
Is this feature available?

Also, I already have a big collection of thumbnails in C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\media - can I somehow use the same location for
the MovieWiz thumbnails as many already exist in that spot.
