  Date format
Posted by: spencer - 2009-12-29, 10:27 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I'm in the UK and when I make a recording gbpvr names it as follows;
Eastenders_20091229 09000955
When i look inside the directory my pc displays it as

Name Date modified
Eastenders_20091229 09000955 29.12.09

Can the name that PVR allocates be altered to show the date as 291209

I have reset my PC's system date and it shows 29.12.09 and rebooted several times.
Thank you

  Displaying images
Posted by: ACTCMS - 2009-12-28, 11:41 PM - Forum: Developers - Replies (6)

When I want to display an image I am using

Code:
[SIZE=2][COLOR=#0000ff][SIZE=2][COLOR=#0000ff]private [/COLOR][/SIZE][/COLOR][/SIZE][SIZE=2][COLOR=#008080][SIZE=2][COLOR=#008080]Image[/COLOR][/SIZE][/COLOR][/SIZE][SIZE=2] imgCurrent = [/SIZE][SIZE=2][COLOR=#0000ff][SIZE=2][COLOR=#0000ff]null[/COLOR][/SIZE][/COLOR][/SIZE][SIZE=2];[/SIZE] [SIZE=2]...[/SIZE] [SIZE=2]imgCurrent = [/SIZE][SIZE=2][COLOR=#008080][SIZE=2][COLOR=#008080]Image[/COLOR][/SIZE][/COLOR][/SIZE][SIZE=2].FromFile([/SIZE][SIZE=2][COLOR=#0000ff][SIZE=2][COLOR=#0000ff]this[/COLOR][/SIZE][/COLOR][/SIZE][SIZE=2].CurrentEntry);[/SIZE]
where "this.CurrentEntry" is a string containing the full path to the image file. This works fine, but the image file is 'in use' while it is being displayed so can't be changed but I'd like to be able to overwrite the image file with a different image file while the original one is still being displayed. Have I missed something with "Image.FromFile" or is there some other technique I should be looking at?

GBPVR stuck in full screen mode
Posted by: keithm - 2009-12-28, 11:27 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I recently turned my pc on and launched GBPVR and it has filled the screen, eveything looks really big. The resolution of the graphic card hasn't changed (1280x1024) and I have tried selecting and deselecting windowed mode in config but it's still full screen. I usually have it in windowed mode so I can see my shutdown program.

I can get round it but any suggestions?

I have tried the maximise and restore options on the window but GBPVR still fills the screen.

Is it possible to view EPG without tuner installed?
Posted by: msrtlt - 2009-12-28, 09:42 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi,
I was able to grab listings using xmltv. I renamed the resulting file from data.xml to xmltv.xml and saved it in c:\epg.

I configured Capture Sources as per instructions in wiki (I chose digital recording plugin). Please note - I don't have a TV tuner installed - I just want to test TV Guide functionality. (I pointed the xmltv plugin to the file c:\epg\xmltv.xml)

The problem is, when I select "TV Guide" on the main GBPVR screen - nothing happens.

What am I doing wrong?

Thank you

  ParallelProcessing.bat and windows 7
Posted by: mila06 - 2009-12-28, 06:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I have a some troubles executing bat files from the Recording Service in Windows 7.
It starts ParallelProcessing.bat(echo date to txt-file), but it does not run the following command:
start / D "C: \ Program Files \ LEDSdriver" LEDSdriver.exe USEREVENT0 = 1
If I just run ParallelProcessing.bat it works fine. The service has set the "Allow service to Interact with Desktop".

The bat-file look like this:

Code:
start /D"C:\Program Files\LEDSdriver" LEDSdriver.exe USEREVENT0=1 echo %date% %time% %1 %2>>ParallelProcessing.bat.log
Is it something to do with rights?

All channels gone - signal (I think) but no lock - advice appreciated.
Posted by: mrspaces - 2009-12-28, 06:47 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I hope somebody could help me please.

Lost all my freeview via my USB dongle.

Plugged in a regular freeview box and signal is absolutely fine.

Have run the BDA Channel Scanner for UK and it does find the correct frequencies but cannot get a lock.

Have even done a drastic thing and installed the Blaze Player but that also cant find the channels.

Done the usual removing drivers in Device Manager Sound And Vision for the DVB-T device and reinstalled but still no luck.

All this is very strange - especially the fact that BDA Scanner sees the channels but just cant get a lock on them.

I have absolutely no idea what is going wrong at the moment and have never struggled as much as this before. Normally if anything goes wrong a fresh install of the wonderful GB-PVR will sort things out but things seem alot more complicated this time.

If any brainboxes out there have any other ideas then I would so much appreciate hearing them as I have been trying tofix this for about 5 hours now and am not even getting close.

Cheers all!
mrspaces.

  Live TV won't work
Posted by: TheSneak - 2009-12-28, 06:36 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

When I try to start Live TV, the screen goes black momentarily then returns to the main menu.

I have no EPG data. Is watching Live TV dependent upon having EPG data?

(Version 1.3.11)

iTunes and GB-PVR not playing well together on XP
Posted by: Jonathan - 2009-12-28, 04:51 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I recently installed GBPVR running a WinTV-HR-1600, and I've noticed that when I have iTunes open, it messes up the playback of recordings. Even if I close iTunes, GBPVR won't recover unless I do a system reboot. Has anyone else experienced this? Solutions (other than ditching iTunes Wink )?

  No Channels Found
Posted by: nixonfamilyusa - 2009-12-28, 02:26 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

Hi I am a total newbie so please go easy on me.
I recently bought a kworld UB435-Q

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as...-_-Product

it works well if i use an antenna (rabbit/bunny ears); however when I plug my cable into it no channels are found.
If i plug the same cable directly into my tv it works fine.
I even tried plugging my cable box into the TV Tuner card and still no channels are found.
I fired up Total Media which comes with the tuner and it finds all my cable channels but they are all locked with an icon of a padlock next to them.

I don't want to pirate cable but want to be able to record the channels I have paid for - what do i do??????
