I would like to be able to forcibly close and restart the client from the remote control (MCE) or keyboard. It doesn't sound too hard to get something together but I was wondering if anyone else has already done this and could post the solution?
Great job on the new version of the weather plugin. Installation was no problem and I'm enjoying the new features. Quick question, I noticed some the maps (precipitation, wind, and UV) have no legend associated with the corresponding colors. I'm assuming this is an accuweather issue?
This is my first load of Weather2.. and I have to say, this is sweet !
Works well with the MediaMVP, using Blue
At the PC end, using PVRX2.. I noticed lack of mouse control on the 'Maps' function to scroll left and right thru the maps. The keyboard arrows work fine. Other menu mouse controls work fine.
I am trying to understand how to use the MVPWidth/MVPHeight/MVPOffsetX/MVPOffsetY settings in the config.xml file to correct an overscan issue. My current settings are as follows:
I am using the built in slick skin on a 16x9 TV that has a 1080i native mode. It is an older rear projection TV. The text on some of the menus is being cut off. For example, on the video library, the first character in each video name is trimmed off.
I gather from search posts that these settings need to be multiple of 4s. The part that is not clear to me if I set each of the offsets to 20, would I need to reduce the height and width by 20 too?
Okay, I've been beating my head and scrounging the forum for days, and now it's time to reach out for help.
Summary:
I have no audio when playing back a recorded show in PVRX2. No audio during recording, and no audio when timeshifting. Audio is fine while watching live TV. Audio is fine when using VLC to view the recorded file.
Things I've tried:
I've cycled through just about every combination of Video, Audio and AC3 decoders.
Video: ffdshow, MPV, ATI, Cyberlink, Intervideo. Intervideo is the best for video.
Audio: ffdshow, MPA, ATI, Cyberlink, etc.
AC3: ffdshow, MPA, AC3filter, Cyberlink, Intervideo. Cyberlink seems to keep the audio in sync the best during live TV.
Nearly every decoder combination works for live TV, just with various performance (dropped video frames, audio sync). No combination has audio for playback or timeshift, although video is fine.
I've replaced the quartz.dll with the recommended one, but no improvement, and it causes the Intervideo video decoder to show (CTL-O) half resolution (that is, report 967x544 for a 1920x1080 broadcast). I've since restored the original dll.
Tried all the video renderers. Best video combination for me is the VMR9 Custom with InterVideo Video decoder, Cyberlink audio decoders.
Setup:
WinXP, ATI HD 650 PCI, terrestrial ATSC. Most shows are reporting (CTL-O) either 720 or 1080, MPEG2, AC3. Advanced codecs are all System Default. TS Mux used with Multi-Record selected. MediaInfo reports the recorded file as MPEG-TS (720p), with 2 channel AC-3 audio. (Again, VLC plays fine.) Also tried with a recorded 720p, 6-ch AC-3 audio file.
Attached log files: Combinations of codecs are in the filenames. Start PVRX2, start live TV, hear audio, ESC to main menu, go to recordings, start the same recording, hear no audio, close PVRX2.
What should I add to the PostProcessing.bat to get WizImageGrabber to run after a show is recorded? I tried 'WizImageGrabber %1' but that didn't work. I looked at the readme, but it wasn't clear to me. Thanks.
hello everyone! quick question - how do I completely uninstall? I have had this problem before more than once (seems to only affect my box with my pinnacle - cough spit - tuner).
It seems that when I run the unistaller, and reinstall, the EPG still is messed up ("no shows").
What is a good clean way to start afresh? I've tried Tiny Registery Clean but makes little difference.
New version does not require the use of weather2.XmlSerializers.dll. Please delete this file if it still exists after you install V1.1.1.3.
There was only one bug fix in V1.1.1.3, so if you are using V1.1.1.2 and things are working for you, then you might as well stay with it.
Notes:
This update also fixes the error mentioned in this thread.
I was able to get a couple users (thanks Jaggy and leaded1), to use some beta builds to get the NMT/MVP devices working a little more stable. I believe it is working well. (Update at Startup is not available for NMT/MVP devices. Weather data only updates at plugin activatation for NMT/MVP devices.)
Changes in Weather2 v1.1.1.3 (from wiki):
Fix for regional date formats that begin with the year.
Changes in Weather2 v1.1.1.2 (from wiki):
Fix for no Canada or International Satellite Maps.
Fix for alert scraping in US locations.
Changes in Weather2 v1.1.1.1 (from wiki):
Fix for error when starting GBPVR/Weather2 without an existing config.xml file.
Changes in Weather2 v1.1.1.0 (from wiki):
Many fixes for MVP/NMT users. Weather2 will only update on a MVP/NMT when it is first activated. It cannot update at startup time.
Added Video Inset support.
Removed the need for the weather2.XmlSerializers.dll file.
Added day and date to map titles (Surface, High/Low Temps, Precip, etc.).
