TV Guide missing in Web Scheduling
Posted by: mmcf157 - 2009-11-05, 02:49 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (9)

A few days ago the TV listings for the web scheduler were missing. Everything else for the web gui( tabs for photos, videos etc) are working fine. I've rebooted the pc, restarted IIS, reanabled the web gui in the config utility. Nothing works. The EPG is being downloaded to the pc just fine and the listings are able to shown through the main menu on the tv. Anybody with thoughts?

How do you turn off scene detection?
Posted by: smtap - 2009-11-05, 08:54 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

Here's my problem... I'm trying to dump some old VHS home video to digital. There are probably 4 hours spread out over 100+ short clips on one tape alone. In-between many of these clips is a short break of nothing, resulting in a blue screen. Both WinTV and GB-PVR reset the time stamp every time this happens. This produces a file that has inconstant time stamps throughout, and ultimately I end up with a 4 hour video that thinks its only a few minutes long, simply because there was a blue screen shortly before the end. This file is totally unusable for editing. I can play it just fine in Windows Media Player an VideoLAN, but nothing can pull up the clips correctly for editing because of the jacked-up time. The time problem is there in the players as well, but they at least can play it. VideoLAN is the only reason I even figured out what was happening, because it actually shows the time reset to zero at every blue screen as you click along the progress bar. I tried turning off the commercial detection in GB-PVR, but that didn't do the trick. I don't see any other options that jump out to me as possibilities. Has anyone else encountered this? Does anyone know how to get around this problem? Thanks.

  Problems with TV3 in NZ
Posted by: Twocoolkiwis - 2009-11-05, 08:00 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Have just installed gbpvr and picture and sound are working fine on all freeview channels except for TV3, it seems to be lagging behind on sound. Does this have something to do with the codecs? If so which codecs should I be using?

I am looking for GBPVR + NMT users with AC3 (Dolby) capable receivers or monitors to help test the next version of mpvmcx2 with AC3 2.0 and 5.1 digital pass through on SPDIF and HDMI. If you are interested please PM me with your email address.

GraphStudio shows no pins connected for recording playback
Posted by: Wakalaka - 2009-11-05, 05:31 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

I turned on lastgraph.grf creation by setting SaveGraphFiles to true in config.xml. Tried to play a recording (which plays fine with media players). Here is the graph as shown by Graph Studio

  Confused at Best

Just when I thought I knew what was going on... Okay, is it typical that I should be able to record 5 or more shows simultaneously over one recording source on my 2250?

Getting plugins to show on main menu.
Posted by: lilgman1012 - 2009-11-05, 02:16 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (10)

I just upgraded my system to windows 7 and I just installed the latest version of gbpvr. in my haste after the initial setup I downloaded a few plugins (burndvdX2, weather2 and cinema). I used the installer programs and checked config to make sure that the plugins showed and were checked (they were). However, when I started up gbpvr the plugins were not on the menu.
I am sure that I have just overlooked domething simple, but any help would be great!Big Grin

Best way to convert to a server/client setup
Posted by: darag2358 - 2009-11-04, 10:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I've been using GBPVR for some time now on a single pc. Now I want to move to a server/client setup. It will be a different computer running as the server and the current pc running gpbvr will be either retired alltogether, or perhaps used as a client somewhere else, like a spare bedroom. I'll need to install gbpvr on the server and transfer my recordings over to it. What is the best way of doing this so that my recordings stay in the Recordings menu? And is there any hope of retaining my current scheduled recordings? Thanks.

BBC1 and BBC2 gone after switchover
Posted by: keithm - 2009-11-04, 10:02 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (14)

Hi, today the well planned digtal switchover Wink somehow messed up BBC1 and 2 for people using winterhill. I have done loads of rescans, deleted my Kworld 300U, deleted the config and db3 files and I can not get GBPVR to find those channels (and yes - its the latest version).

I had decided the card was not capable of receiving the channels as I believe they have moved into the 8k range but, I've just installed Kworld's hypermedia centre software and it finds BBC1 and 2 with perfect reception.

So any ideas? Why can't the quite wonderful GBPVR find the channels whan clearly the card can recive them.
