I really would like to do a better of job of searching for answers before I reask the same old questions, but I am having a bit of a problem. It is likely that I am doing this wrong so someone can straighten me out.
Let's say I want to know if you can play netflix over a pch.
I search for 'netflix pch'
The problem is it just gives me the threads the topics appear in but the posts inside the topic and many have dozens even hundreds of posts.
Is there a way to search at the post level instead of the thread level?
I'm just starting with my PCH-A110 and GBP-VR configuration so I'm not an expert.
I have installed GBPVR mvpmcx2 2.6 with the CSI installer on the PCH and installed GBPVR on my Windows XP system.
After configuring some shares on my PC Iâm able to start GBPVR on the PCH.
If I select Video library from the menu I see the shared directory and the included files.
If I select a âtsâ file and start I see the video but I donât get any sound. If I play this file from a network share from the PCH I see the movie and hear the sound correctly.
Seems since upgrading just before Halloween, many shows I thought had simply not recorded were actaully recorded and just not showing up in the Recording page.
2 days ago, I went through the db3 and removed a bunch of entries with bad dates (made a backup first) but I still see the problem again today, so that's not the problem, this time Scooby Doo did not appear, but Bugs Bunny and Suite Life show up...
**Update: This morning, Bugs Bunny and Suite Life are now also missing form the list, even though they were in the list yesterday. Also, overnight conversion to xvid has failed.. The files are still in *.mpg format.
I might have to roll back to the prev. version.. Everything was working fine there.

Since no one was home during the day yesterday, PVRX2.exe-native.log shows no activity at that time, as does PVRX2.exe.log

I frequently finish watching a recorded show and would like to put the computer into stand-by, except GBPVR is in the process of recording another show or Comskip is running. Since I can't shut down the computer without messing up the recording, the computer ends up staying on all night.
I'd like to be able to set a time window (say 12:00am - 6:00am) within which GBPVR would put the computer into stand-by automatically, assuming there were no shows being recorded or watched.
Whats the easiest way to get gbpvr play .m4a files? Will the K-Lite Codec pack work? If so, would just the "Basic Pack" be ok? Does installing these codecs take up a lot of system memory? I have AC3Filter installed but that doesn't seem to work with the .m4a files. My current operating system is Win 7 64 bit.

I have installed the GBPVR 1.4.7 Version and have also adjust the "Recording Source" with TechniSat SkyStar HD2, when I press "Map Digital Channels to EPG.." I get the message that the Msgbox "GB-PVR was unable to start BDA-Device ....and not already in use" ??
The DVBViewer found the TechniSat SkyStar HD2-> TechniSat Mantis DVBS BDA Receiver !
I've been using the MS DVR-MS BDA multiplexer. After upgrading to 1.4.7 it doesn't work any longer. The recording acts as if it working, but in I end up with 6KB video files. These are all US ASTC OTA channels.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled GB-PVR, deleted and reconfigured my HDHomerun tuners, but no joy.
The TS Mux works, correctly but I prefer the ff/rew and output abilities of the DVR-MS mux.
Anyone tried it? I got a copy of 7 on release day in the UK, and installed 64-bit version on a separate partition for dual-boot.
At first I was quite impressed with the Media Center - has come on a lot since I dabbled with the dark side before, what with it's built-in H264 decoder and Dolby digital.
On the plus side - automated setup, all I had to do was put in my postcode and it scanned for all DVB-T and DVB-S channels on my two Hauppauge tuners, including BBC HD and Luxe HD, and downloaded a full guide - I nearly fainted! Video quality good, recordings good, and best of all the very slick interface.
On the negative side - no Dolby pro-logic; surround sound only from DVD's or some HD programmes. No live preview - hard drive always churning. Recordings all in WTV format, SD recordings taking up huge amounts of space and HD recordings cobbled to not work if burnt to DVD etc. No ITV HD recording /playback (though can be watched with a registry hack). Constant churning of hard drive and slow when looking through libraries. Well publicised problems with waking from S3 sleep.
I gave it a full week to be fair, but it became more and more apparent how much better GBPVR is, and how great it is to have the ability to alter decoders and settiings easily. I found myself choosing 'old version of Windows' on the boot screen more and more frequently. I was going to install GBPVR on 7, but for the life of me I can't think of any reason to do so! So an interesting week, but made me appreciate GBPVR all the more.
