I just put together a computer and installed an ATI 650 tuner card. I have this card in several other computers and it works very well. My problem is that when I click on the gbprv in the system tray I get a message that the ATI 650 is sleeping.
Anyone have any ideas how to weak it?
The computer is an Intel D865 motherboard, Intel P4 3ghz cpu, 1 ghz memory, windows xp pro sp3.
The only thing I did notice is that the bios does not have PCI/PNP configuration. I did try to flash the bios with an update, but the flash does not take.
Thanks for the great software and help over the years.
How do I switch off the subtitles which are recorded with tv programs and show at the bottom of the picture during playback of a recording.
The enable DVB Subtitle box on the Misc page is not ticked
Any help please.
thank you
I have tried to playback some H.264 recordings from Danish television. If I try to use GBPVR to play back I will have a black screen for a few seconds and I'm back to the menu
If I play the file via the network browser in the HDX1000 I get video but no audio, most likely due to the HE-AAC encoding of the sound.
I have attached the logs and links to the test files is sent as a PM to mvallevand
I have just installed GBPVR v1.4.7 but am unable to get the sound working on all channels.
My sound system default is the Realtek HD Audio but if I set all the decoder settings to system default I cannot get sound on BBC1, BBC2, Channel 4 etc.
I just wonder if there is a set of decoder settings that are known to work please?
I have a server running at my base that I want to use to do the following:
Schedule remote freeview recording
Delete Commercials
Compress with no loss of quality
FTP at a controlled rate to a server elsewhere
This is so I can watch TV whilst I'm away on holidays.
Hardware: Dual Core Windows Server 2003 running SBS with 4GB RAM and Hauppauge HVR1100 or NovaTD Stick.
So far I've experimented with GBPVR and the HVR1100, for plain recording from the HVR1100 the results are excellent.
However it isn't skipping the commercials, Comskip is creating the txt files but the actual cutting isn't happening. I've copied comclean2.bat, bbdmux.exe and mplex2.exe as well as created a postprocessing.bat.
Can someone help me with the commercial skipping as well as offer any suggestions on the rest of my project?
This has nothing to do with GBPVR, it has been flawless. Just don't get me started I'll gush all over about it I'm so impressed.
I am posting here because I am just getting it installed and you have so many experts here.

1) I get some infrequent tearing in the displayed video, in faster action scenes. It is always in the upper half of the image.
2) I have about 20MM or 3/4" on the sides and 12MM or 1/2" on the top and bottom that is not being used by the computer display. I create custom profiles in CCC:HDTV Support and apply them, but it never changes.
It has a 1080P24 optimized profile (1776x1000@24hz) that I can't seem to override. The Panasonic TV has any screen adjustments grayed out on HDMI
My customized profile is (1856x1044@24hz) That filled the screen nicely and preserved scaling.
I'm new as of Saturday to HDTV, GBPVR, Video via HDMI and a host of other things so be gentle, please.
I came across something intereseting in one of the picture display modes of the video archive (the one with 4 small thumbnails on bottom row and a single large picture on on top. Often the 1st three large pictures in a directory displays in low resolution, with the corresponding thumbnails using correct aspect ratio. However the remaining pictures will display in high resolution, but their corresponing thumbnails will have wrong aspect ratio. Switching modes sometimes changes the behavior, but can't do it reliably.
just want to start by thanking the author for this update to the weather plugin.
The thing is having now rebuilt my sytem about 7 times with GBPVR 1.4.7 I get everything working just as I want until I install this plugin. And I have established that it is when I install this plugin that I start to get a very slow response on the server.
I'll drop back to a clean install again and then install the plugin again and zip up the logs. Everyone else seems to have this working brilliantly would love to know why it seems to go wrong for me!
When I try to start TV Listings or TV Recordings from the NMT I get a ~2.5 minute delay. There are no apparent errors in the logs, but the wait happens prior to TV Listings saying it is about to update recordings schedule (about 10:04 in the attached log file).
